  • Here is a video of my installation of the Wild at Heart Shorty / Two-Finger Hand Levers for my 2019 BMW GS 1250. I snapped a lever off and decided to upgrade to these in an effect to improve clutch control and better off road handling.
My first attempt at doing a video using Apple's iMovie.
Here's a link to Wild at Heart if you're interested in ordering - I do not have a relationship w/them:

    Hello Douglas,
    Thank you for your mail.
My sincerest apologies for only replying now.
We manufacture a wide range of levers for the Adventure bikes.
We however do not have an on-line shop in the true sense of the word in the way most people know it.
We much prefer individual emails from our customers and potential customers to transact on a more personal level.
Guys can contact me on e-mail, through our website or on my WhatsApp number.
Thank you for promoting our product - it is highly appreciated.

Great post, very helpful, especially the mention of leaving the lever dialed-in at "1".
I had a lot of problems with the right (brake) lever. Just could not line everything up for the barrel/sleeve.
If anyone is having problems, start the dial at ONE, then line everything up. If stuck, turn the dial gently, but by bit, then try again.
Once lined up, the sleeve just slides into place, but it is a CLOSE fit, getting them lined up right.
At least it was for me.

Can you please tell me if the clutch lever clears your ring finger when pulled?

Hi Jacob! I've had no issues with clearing ring fingers - I've got pretty chunky hands (XL size gloves) too.

Is there a trick for getting the bolt through the brake lever when finishing the install? I have been trying to get it through for hours and it will go in, but not all the way through the level. I’m going to have to send it back if I can’t figure it out. Maybe I’m missing a trick?

@@2Weat Thanks for replying. I’m installing them on a brand new R1250 GSA and figured it out. Embarrassingly, I didn’t realize the bolts were different on each and that was the problem.

@@ryanmalone2681 usually turns out to be the simplest of things! if you get a chance, post back up after you used them for a couple of weeks with feedback. I'm still loving mine and getting on a bike with regular levers feels pretty odd now!

I literally just posted about this.

If anyone is having problems, start the dial at ONE, then line everything up. If stuck, turn the dial gently, but by bit, then try again.
I installed it on a 1200GS. The right lever took about 90 minutes of effort, over two days.

Hi Ka - yes, I really find them convenient and immediately adjusted to using them. I personally find I have better utilization of the controls with the shorties on.
