Grandma has confidence with her baking. Please do more baking with grandma!! She has so much knowledge pertaining, to cooking & other things. Have a blessed day & thankyou.
Thank you so much for this recipe. I've been looking for a while for a recipe that's old school. My Grandma use to make it exactly like this. I could not remember exactly how she did it , I was a teenager. . I made it & it was Great. Seeing u and u're aunt, remind me of me & my grandma. Love her. Cherish her. Much Love.
Beautiful.....your Aunt is indeed the expert.....I love the texture of this.....looks like puddin’ instead of cake ....looks very moist...can’t wait to make this♥️♥️♥️👍🏾👍🏾
Grandma I made my pudding, the first time U 've ever tried to! My husband is an Antiguan and he keep saying it's the best he has ever eaten! Thank you so so much Grandma! I've never interested in baking now I bake something, even twice a week!!
lol, its funny and quite surreal as this reminded me of my grandmothers cooking. the old way is truly by instinct which makes it so signature to them. One can never truly replicate.Food is always divine. :D
In the Pacific Islands, we crate it n then mix it with coconut cream and bake it in earth oven or in Papua New Guinea we call it mumu. We do the same with casava, taro, yam and banana. Good to learn that we hve something in common
traditionally in Jamaica, it is baked in a pot outside with hot coals on top and under the pan. It is called 'Hell a top and Hell a bottom with Halleluya in the middle'.
The TRADITIONAL WAY OF BAKING SWEET POTATO PUDDING IS ON COLE MAKE FROM BURNING WOOD IN A KILN. IN A COLE POT WITH HOT COLE ON TOP PLACE ON METAL sheet and hot cole in the cole pot. The container wit the sweet potato pudding mixture is placed. 3hrs normal time for baking pudding this way.😊🇯🇲
Now this is the sweet potato pudding I remember. Nowadays folks are making some sort of dark, hard & tough something & calling it sweet potato pudding...😠
Yes yes yes. This is how it should be made. I used to make it but could not remember how. I am seeing people pack it up with flour and cornmeal and that only makes it very tough. This is how I used to do it. Thank you very much much for this recipe. Gonna make it today. I will just use a lot less sugar
I did make this two weeks ago and it was tremendous....the coco yam takes it to another pleasant level. I think I added too much extra butter though because I love ❤️ butter so much. I have also made the sardine recipe.....also wonderful 👍🏾
You probably dont care at all but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost the password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me
I’m the palest, blonde, 53 year old woman you’ve ever met, but your auntie is my kinda lady! What I wouldn’t give to spend some time with her in the kitchen! When I grow up, I want to be just like her! Btw, I fully intend on making this, give that beautiful woman a hug for me!
Hi! Thank You so much, for this originally recipe, I'm from Dominican Republic. And that the way we do the Sweet potatoes, cake. I 'll tray it. Thank you. Thank to your Aunty. Att. Maggie
Thank you for the time and effort, you have allocated to this recipe. I am very drawn to the softer consistency. And will therefore use this clearly timeless method!
Best recipe so far. Only thing missing is the soft top which I love. I’ve viewed a few recipes that made me nauseous just thinking about the ingredients like adding soaked bread in it. Love your auntie’s recipe because her measurements are like mine ... you add some thing and if the aroma, look or feel doesn’t seem right, just add a bit more of something.
I recently attempted a sweet potato pudding recipe using the orange sweet potatoes & no coco or yam. Came out on the soft side. Will give your recipe a shot on my next attempt. Nice man!
OMG, That's EXACTLY how sweet potato pudding is supposed to look. Wish I could get those potatoes here in AZ. Me da go mek it right now!! Thank you so much! Couldn't remember how to make it and all the videos on RUclips just weren't hitting the nail on the head!!
