What do you mean with tricks?
I use some reverb or chorus on the mic sometimes; but that a common FX in studios on vocalrecording. I could sing without this effect but I use it to blend the voice with the music. I also use a multiband compressor and the EQ to blend my voice with the music, also a common thing...
I don't know what a voice I have, how do you describe a psychedelic voice anyway?
Perhaps I was not stoned enough to sing this song :-)

I believe that you have a good voice, and you use a tricks to sing, but i belive that you don't use good your voice, i bilieve that you're voice is a rock & Roll voice, no psicopdelic voice
