Great build man must be a fun daily I have my rsx set up for the dragstrip fully built bottom end k24 rods and pistons and new springs and retainers for the head it’s running on hondata with e85 on a walbaro 525 pump and precious turbo 1000cc injectors it’s ripper man

All K series motors are iVtec motors. Some just only have vtec on the intake cam such as this.that’s why people swap to 20 heads out of the type s or Si because they have it on both cams.

That can be different depending who you ask lol. A simple low boost set up you can invest in to $2,500 that’s including a proper tune, that should get you to the 250-300hp range.
I like the camera shots in this, the angles you are using with the car driving by is on point! Nice job, felt like I was watching a car documentary on A&E or something, what speeds did you actually get up to ?
It’s not non-vtec, it’s half vtec. All Kseries engines have a variation of valve timing. This particular engine has the vtec cam lobes on the intake side only, as opposed to a k20a2/z1 rsx with variable cam lobes on both sides. This particular trans and also the ep3 5 speed trans (maybe almost identical if not the same) happen to be the stronger of MOST k series stock transmissions. I would trust the 5 speed over a type S 6 speed power wise all day.

I went with a stage 2 clutch on the same hp rating not sure the brand. It has taken a little bit to get use to but feels like good not to stiff and not so soft.
I could not answer that one but If driven conservatively you will not lose much on mpg. Of course when you get the itch to step on it you will drop mpg’s
At the time of this video we were figuring out a lot of things, distance from mic being one of them, we believe recent videos audio has been so much better

8lbs on a greddy kit is definitely not 300hp. That thing is so small and the pipes are tiny probably need atleast 15 to hot 300.
I also have a base model as well. I’m thinking about putting a turbo in it also.

SoCal to Baja cal it’s got vtec but only on the intake side. So no loud crossover but you do feel the power gains
