If you have ADHD and struggle with using productivity apps & methods long term, you are not alone and you are not broken. Don't see it though the app failed or that you failed. It didn't fail. You didn't fail. It worked for the season that you needed it. It will take time, but do your best not to blame yourself. Use this chance to scratch that explorative or creative itch to find a new app or system that'll work for you in THIS season. ------ If you liked Arianna Bradford's advice & If you're interested in similar advice, there's a great video out there by ADHD Jesse titled "Avoiding Toxic Productivity Advice for ADHD," where the above advice comes from.

I’ve tried many but always end up going back to Apple basic apps- notes, calendar, reminders because they care clean simple to use. The gamified apps are good for a season and then they fizzle out. I’m trying to find the paced app mentioned in the video but can’t find it in the App Store

I’ve tried every app under the sun and what I’m realizing is that the apps just don’t work for me. I hate that I have to use pen and paper but it’s literally the only thing I can stick to. Another app is another reason I have to pick up the phone and get distracted again. Modern life is the worst.

Is there a human tracker. Like a pet tracker. To automate my location; to see where my time goes.
Like some type of Bluetooth device I leave in my desk to calculate how long I'm gone for.
I love to get interrupted by my co-workers but it takes up such a block of my day.
By the end of the day I have no idea where my time is gone but I didn't get to my due to'ssss...
I would just love to personally see my time by location in feet.
Google does an okay job at long-range motion such as job. It sucks from desk to shop and to each work station.

Thanks for this. As an ADHD-Dyslexic I find apps much more useful than the pen. My mind thinks a lot faster than I can write and spell and I'll often forget something I was going to write when I have to slow down to try and figure out how to spell a word. Apps and spell checkers are the only way I can function when it comes to none verbal communication.

Constructive criticism for Artful Agenda: It asks too many questions upon start up. For example, it asks how long does it take me to get out of bed. 10 seconds, but that doesn't mean I'm ready to start my day, I still have to stretch and brush my teeth etc and the app doesn't ask about any of that, and even if it did, I wouldn't have the patience to answer.
Also the art seems designed for women/girls only. It would be helpful to have a Metro style.

An app that isn’t mentioned is Tiimo. It’s amazing for time blindness with ADHD. It helps me understand my day visually in time if that makes sense at all and it prompts you too. Example: lunch starts in 5mins or morning routing is almost over etc. It’s incredibly flexible. I’ve been using it on and off for years now and it’s the only app that I’ve stuck to consistently and that actually helps me if that makes sense. It’s even more powerful if you have an Apple Watch it will buzz your wrist. It also has widgets. Great for planning and tasks. I’m just looking for something that has goal planning and breakdown because I struggle with that. I might email the Tiimo tea and ask if that’s something they may consider integrating or making a separate app for. They’re very open to suggestions.
