"I know that I know nothing" (I’ll save you a Google search, it’s called the Socratic paradox-attributed to Socrates but never actually stated by him). We’re all ignorant to some extent, nobody knows everything.
Funny thing you felt compelled to watch the "idiot" reaction video, or at least leave an asinine comment. So who is the "Idiot ? Maybe the idiot watching the person just reacting honestly to good music.
@@dmont if they don't get it..then they don't get it, I guess they never looked up what reaction videos are!!!! But call you ignorant!!! That shows someones ignorance 😂
Definitely listen to Inside looking out. The live version on some show is long but is fantastic. It was done before the keyboardist (Craig Frost) joined the band, so they were a trio. Fantastic sound
Sweet Sweet Connie is a legendary Groupie. Wikipedia. ❤ Also Cynthia Plaster Caster. I only mention this because these women were groundbreaking! They set so many women free! To admire and love men
The Beatles sold out Shea Stadium in six weeks for their 1970 show. Grand Funk Railroad sold it out in 72 hours! Peter Frampton and Humble Pie opened up for them. Over 55,000 people shook that stadium - home of the Mets! THE American band! Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induct them NOW! It's long overdue! And they're still doing it in 2023. That's why they are THE American band!
Damn this band was killing it back in the early 70s when I was in jr. high school, Ace. But I've never even seen this video. Good to see you rocking the vintage stuff, even though it makes me feel my age. Lol
D. Mont, thank you for doing that reaction. I love this band and there are many gems in their work. The drummer Don Brewer sang lead here awesome voice, but the guitarist Mark Farner sings 99% of their work, you've got to hear him sing for sure. Much love!
A friend, Karl Probst , I went to High School with , played keyboards, and sang this song ,on Mark Farner's world tour 2008. He passed away last year ,but I still see him playing on RUclips. He followed his dream and made it. RIP Karl.....
Great reaction. Grand Funk Railroad A truly underrated band. Other songs. (I ‘m your captain/closer to home) also their cover of (inside looking out) Live 1969.😀👍❤️✌️🌼
hella great group. the Beattles sold out Shea stadium NYC in a week! Everyone thought that was crazy fast. Then GFR sold it out in 16 hours. Damn shame they are not in rock and roll hall of fame. its a crime.
The irony... "we'll come into your town, we'll help you party it down..." I'm from Flint. They were from Flint. They never "came into our town to help us party it down" because a local radio DJ dissed them when they were just starting out. Such a disappointment!
Sold out Shea stadium faster than the Beatles. Got to see them in the 1990s, still doing it. They had some major issues with managers, finances, band imploding etc. One of my main go-to groups in the 70s. Mark (long hair) has Native American roots so he paid tribute to that in his life and lifestyle.
True story. I grew up with a guy named Karl Propst. Awesome guy, very talented family. He passed away about a year ago,but he was an awesome key board player. He toured with Mark Farner, on his world tour somewhere around 2008. On that tour he sings American Band. You can view it on RUclips in Russia, and Chile. The last time I saw him, they played the fish festival in Destin,Florida. Thanks for the memory. Capt.Bob, SV (Sailing Vessel) 27th Chance, Tampa Fl.
I'm glad you're on a discovery it will help keep this music alive. When it comes to Grand Funk Railroad you really need to listen to "Close too home/ I'm your captain" 🤠🐂🏞️🛩️
They made a POINT of their being American. This was the height of the British Invasion. Fun fact: John Bonham was a huge fan of drummer, Carmine Appice. Sing also, and that ain't easy.
This was Jimmy Carter's America after the civil turmoil and wars of the 1960's, after Watergate and Nxon's resignation, before the Iranian hostage crisis; before trickle down economics, before the Persian Gulf War; before 9/11 and the ensuing wars, before Obama, before Trump and before the utter chaos and demoralization of today. I love the video of the Grand Funk band embracing the glory of their youth and having a hell of a good time. The band was formed in Flint, Michigan 1969. In Michigan you could work at Ford, GM or Delphi and afford to buy a cottage on the lake and raise your family and give your children a good life. You didn't have to be a Kardashian or Elon Musk to just have a good life. If you had a Ford or GM pension you were set for life.
Sweet sweet connie died in august,I think she was 66,she was bad at 17,I was 14 and in love with her.Her mother used to drop her off at pretty much all the concerts in little rock.Dan Brewer lead on this song and drummer, said all connie wanted to be was famous.
Grand Funk is from Flint Michigan which is about 40-50 miles north of Detroit. There is a railroad that runs through michigan named the grand trunk which the band was named after but they changed trunk to funk. There is a grand trunk viaduct in Flint with the bands name painted on there that has been there since the 70's. I heard this was filmed on one of the band members uncles farm somewhere in michigan. This is kind of more like a home movie rather than a music video. They were part of a wave of southeastern michigan/Detroit rock back in the 70's which included Ted Nugent(the motor city madman), Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, and the MC-5. If Motown music was included the rock n roll hall of fame should have been in Detroit and not Cleveland.
Check out the live version of Mean Mistreater. You’ve got to Check out the live version of their song, T.N.U.C nobody else has a reaction video for that song and it has a great drum solo.
Tell the haters to F OFF! You are just expanding your horizons! Keep it up. You should try Rob Zombie's version of this song. It ROCKS!! Only cover of this that I have ever liked!!
****GREAT REACTION**** & to the one who felt the need to make a negative comment about this reactor letting us know, he does not know much about this band, go away & troll somewhere else, because the only one who is truly an idot, is the one, who cannot admit, they don't know everything!!!
This song was a real happening at one of their gigs in Little Rock. And Sweet Connie was a VERY WEL KNOWN GROUPIE!!! This song and this LP was after the sued their label for stealing them blind. Plus it was a PUNCH BACK at the so called BRITISH ENVASION. To show the World that AN " AMERICAN BAND " was as good if not better than these bands from across the pond!
If you haven't reacted to "Inside Looking Out" LIVE when they were all still under the age of 21, you MUST check it out! It's the most intense, passionate live performance I've ever seen. ruclips.net/video/NxcOxvEsE_Y/видео.html
You don't know much about anything. Makes no sense why idiots feel compelled to document their ignorance.

Ignorance is lack of knowledge. Idiocy is a comment like yours.
Thank You for proving your own point.
Why is it that some people find it necessary to tear others down?
Small minds, small hearts?

Saw them live in 68, and grew my hair because of them!
The most underrated group in history…period.Rock and Roll Hall of Fame does not deserve them.
Grand Funk Railroad- "Inside Looking Out 1969" live version. You won't be disappointed!

They should be Mark Farmer is GFR
The reactions we get to Brewer's afro is worth the price of the ticket.

This was a power ballad of the early to mid 70's. I bought the single to this song, along with the Loco-motion also by Grand Funk Railroad.
Missed them thank you

That's a lot of funk from just 3 guys.
