Liked the video halfway cause this is a perfect blend of rap and rock which are some of my favorite genres and it fits what the character is like in a way that he WOULD express. Love this ❤
Listening to this and letting my mind wander has made me realize WHY they wrote gwens dad saying "the guy that left it for you was a real piece of work". It was jarring because hobie had already proven to be the most rebellious, kind, and self aware of the movie... But thematically it reinforces the rest of the movies message. They went to a lot of effort to establish love of both hobie and captain stacy SEPARATELY before introducing them to each other in the last few minutes and showing that gwens dad has sorely misjudged hobie. "I think you know the rest" is the (quite strong in my opinion) opening, but the overall message is that you shouldnt assume you know the rest of someones story; so gwens dad making assumptions about hobie that are clearly wrong is the scene thats the lynchpin of this message
love jamming to this. would be even more hobie w some solo or a beat drop in, just smth to fuck up the consistency but honestly im still listening on repeat so fuck it
Animation studios are missing out on nerdcore so bad i can see miles in my vision taking a toast and running out his house to go to school parkouring while this is playing
Its both rock and rap, something youd never expect to be hobie's music, considering you'd expect it to be rock exclusively. "I don't believe in consistency" Absolutely brilliant

Best song I heard all year! Instrumental?
