Thanks for visiting The Chippy Tour, which is brand new for January 2024. I'd appreciate you liking the video, sharing it, sharing the channel, and subscribing to it. In case you're wondering, when I taste truly remarkable chippie foods, my instinctive exclamation of delight is, "OH!" serving as my signature expression.Steve 👍
Great to see an honest and fair review rather than everywhere getting solid nines or tens and an eight when even the dog won't touch it 🤣🤣. Keep up the great content Steve.
So, in Wisconsin in the States, I know some people refer to chipmunks as Chippies, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I wasn't disappointed, strangely. I loved this review of a chip shop I'll never go to, and I'm looking forward to watching many more. Also, watching your bag blow away slowly on the left of the screen gave me a weird kind of mild anxiety. But all around, a great video! Very fair!
I laughed at your reaction to the bag! :) Happy you liked the video. Despite knowing my food, I'm new to video reviews but already love it after just two. Expect possibly two more in the next ten days: one on a highly rated chippy and a shorter one comparing steak and kidney puddings to steak puddings. Cheers, Steve."
Well done. Say it like it is, that’s how reviews should be! I only saw what you were eating, the Burger and the fish looked seriously shoddy to me. I don’t do the dips etc. They’re almost certainly gloopy and made from some sort of granules , not for me , not from a chippy anyway. The chips! Well you like them or you don’t. I’ll eat virtually any chips, unless they’re cold and greasy. So very subjective, but those didn’t look brilliant. Thanks for your honest opinion.
Cheers Jim. I'm not beholden to a sole, so it’s fairly easy and important that Im honest. It’s quite sad at times when I meet a wonderful family but the food is dire. But hey.
It’s been noted for when its reviews have developed to around a hundred or more. It’s important that the chippies have settled in. I'll certainly keep an eye on it. 🤙
Unfortunately, I had a bad experience there. It used to be a great chippy run by a Chinese family, which was later closed due to poor hygiene. It was then taken over, and while I was standing waiting to be served, one staff member was sitting reading a paper or magazine with one finger buried up to the knuckle in his nose, just a few metres from me and in full view. That was enough for me.
@@thechippytour It's been taken over again since then. The Chinese people you speak of live opposite me. They got closed down after getting a zero hygiene rating. The new people who've got it are much much better. The fish and chips are superb. I'd give it another go if I were you.
@@thechippytour Certainly all the staff have been replaced. There are often queues out of the door particularly on a Friday. There's another chippy on the square called Emiliano's which is not in the same league.
Hi Donna, at this time I’m only reviewing traditional chippies that focus mainly on popular chippy foods, not so much the ones that focus equally on other foods. That said, Runcorn is definitely on the cards soon 🤙
fish cakes from dolphin in runcorn used to be banging, K Lee down runcorn old town used to do a banging giant chop suey roll, Chippy on festival way runcorn was a decent traditional chippy my favourite widnes chippy has long since gone, on widnes road down by where the arcade was, where asda is now, went every day when i was in college. went the chinese by the kingsway on vicky road when i was on YTS :P
It was the best chippy in widnes for years but after the mum died and her daughter took over it went down hill. Same with pauls chipshops, the best in widnes is now Tony's chippy on lugsdale Road mate you shud do a review of that as it's a proper old school chippy ran for over 60 years by same guy who only dose chippy food.
What a shame. This often happens, though Crisp 'E' Cod in St Helens was run by the daughter of some successful fryers and is a great success. Let's hope that turns around for the residents and the owners. I'll put Tony's in my file. Cheers.

Oh now your talking. I'll look back over any receipts as it will likely be a few days before I published video nearly 8 months ago. Steve.

Binned 80% of my meal from here. Curry was like a cleaning chemical
It was a shame really, and yet it was very busy.
I don't know why it's always five stars it's a three for me chips are tiny and sometimes warm ups 😢
