You guys spend some good time together and i's priceless. However for folks whos watching this video and want to save some bucks on Pro installation - please think twice. If you enjoy this kind of project and just want to build yourself that's great , but you will most likely not save any money . Time , roof , floor , handle of out of specs pieces that comes with Pro installation will most likely cost you less than DIY. Just 2 cents from Pro installer.
Not true. These pro installers charge crazy money and are third party folks. I wouldn't recommend it. Just do it with a friend and your good. Don't sweat it too much. You will save between 500-1000 dollars doing it yourself. .
very Good. Thank You. gonna be putting same shed up when it comes in. How far apart did you gap your 2x6s on foundation. was it 16 inches or 24 inches. also did you make your foundation exactly 96 inches X 120 inches.
Nice work guys. Question about the floor- Did you put 4x4 in the ground and attach the 2x6s and put bricks around or is it sitting on the bricks? Thanks.
I did it by myself, took me a total of four days, I just finished mine today and had the same issue, I'm getting ready mentally to bring it up to them. They never called to deliver, wood was wet inside, came warped, and many of the pieces were messed up 🤷
There are few issues when you ordered some things from "Home Improvement, DIY." I ordered toilet tank and I was told that you item was cracked. So, they reordered and shipped it to me, but it was cracked in second time. I had to return back to them.
Think I would have taken pictures of the messed up wood, and showed lowes.they owed you some money back. Maybe it's not much but think I could have got 10%back.
Yes so we went ahead and put roofing tar down on that area, then flashing. That was our biggest mistake I’d say. Wish we had the blueprints before we got the shed. I guess 8x10 isn’t 8x10 according to the manufacture lol
Best part is that you did it with your dad! Best memories ever!
Nice job guys. Unfortunately, you encountered the same issues many other have from the Lowes shed kits. But, you did an awesome job getting past them.
Thanks Norm!
I've found that when driving three inch nails, it's good to have Nine Inch Nails playing in the background.
Nice job on the shed and video Shawn!
I just bought a 12'×8' heartland shed. It came with no blue print or any instructions. It was very challenging for me to put it together.

They are at 16” apart. The 8x10 isn’t the exact size. When you get the kit it comes with instructions on the exact size for the floor.
Thank you for this great video I bought the exact same one. your video helped alot
Construction 101: Never, never, never use twisted wood!!!!!!
Agreed! We just said the heck with it and wanted to get it over with. Didn’t mess anything up other than my nerves. Thanks for watching
@@Spatakula I wish I would have known. My off measurements on the foundation transfer to the top making it hard to put the roof together.
Unless you're building for a twisted sister.

the 2x6's are set up on the concrete blocks. thanks!
Send the blue prints 💯👍🏼🙏🏻

sorry about your luck. i think they would be pretty cool about replacing some pieces.

Do you think you could install Windows in the doors, to fancy it up a little bit

yeah we should have but didnt. oh well you live and learn!
Hi, why such a wide gap where the doors meet? It seems like it would cause rodent issues come cooler months
It’s blocked from the inside so nothing can get in
@@Spatakula oh ok, I got ya. Thank you
How much did it cost
Roughly 1500-1600 with electric ran and paint
Not sure if you mentioned this but how did you treat the exposed floor in the back because that will rot in no time!!

What did this shed cost please let me know thank you very much
I added a ramp, electrical, and paint after this video. The total was around $1500
