I feel like your trend videos have shown that knitting is leaning less towards gaudy color work and finishes and more towards classic, low key shapes and styles. I love it!
My schools are full of striped Breton style jumpers, boxy fit and stripes from the yoke down. Similar to the PK Marseille. The other shape l have seen a lot of is the high/low hem. Nice to have more fabric over the small of the back going into Autumn, particularly when bending forward over students' work!
For the dramatic proportions I immediately thought about the Eun Sweater by Novemberknits. I really love the pattern 😍 thank you for the great video ☺️
I knit a badger and bloom sweater last year in “That orange feeling” double sunday and it has been getting a LOT of favourites lately on Ravelry so that colour is really on trend right now! Makes me love my sweater even more ❤
Another terrific video! Thank you for your take on the trends, I've now discovered a couple new designers once again. Love that you put the shots of "Mel" sweaters in, I'm a fan and had to pause the tv to get a good look! I'll be viewing some of your past videos, and looking forward to the next!
Always love your videos. ❤They give me such inspiration. I am currently knitting the Brooklyn Raglan by Tori Yu. The body is all stockinette with a curved hem, but the sleeves are fully textured. The sweater your wearing is beautiful that color looks great on you.
I loooooove the unfinished looks on knits. My unfinished June top is my favorite knit of the year so far and I think a lot it has to do with my choice to keep it unfinished. I find it so feminine.
Good morning from Vancouver, Emily ❤. I was at a mall the other day and noticed quite a few windows with cream/off white and black striped sweaters - Aritzia had a gorgeous one. They look so elegant. I’m on the hunt for a sweater pattern like you described with mock turtle, long ribbed edges with split hem, and with the wider striping. ❤
I think I saw the same one in the window at my local Aritzia too! I’d keep an eye out for Penrose Knits Sibling Sweater MY Size or add stripes to caidrees Harlow sweater!
Hi Emily, another great video. I always look forward to your videos. I have a question about the Sand sweater. Is it also in testing because I can’t seem to find it anywhere? I’m very interested in it.
The Never Sweater by @kopikali is an oversized sweater too the positive ease is MAD! It also has a 6 stitch raglan seam ⚡️definitely one to look out for

Loved to see your new thoughts about ongoing trends❤ Maybe less is even more in the knitting universe with the unfinnished trend.
An interesting overview, thank you.

Look at the Eun sweater.
@@highfiberknits Yes, Thank you! I was thinking of some of the Caidree sweaters. They’re the exact style without the stripes. ❤️❤️❤️
@@saraw8503 Wow, it’s perfect 😍
Would love to know what sweater you showed at 15:10 min in! It’s the crème body, tomato soup colour work. ❤
It’s from Sandnes Garns Norwegian Icons adult.
Thank you!
I was wondering if you have ever considered doing a Podcast on location from one of your favorite yarn shops in Toronto?
I’ve never considered doing an ax to al podcast, but definitely tours!
