Synopsis:
Choices... to choose between right or wrong is simple, but what defines one's life is the decision between the greater of two goods or the lesser of two evils. This is the advice that Zooni Ali Beg (Kajol) receives from her father just as she is about to venture out into the world of her own for the very first time. Little does she know that these very words will shape her life.
Zooni, a blind Kashmiri girl, meets Rehan Qadri (Aamir Khan), a local Delhi tour guide and an incorrigible flirt. Her friends warn her against this good-for-nothing roadside Romeo, but she chooses to ignore them. It is now her time to discover life and love. Is this really the right choice?
Rehan is fascinated by Zooni and wants her to see life as it should be seen, in its many colours. He promises her that the time spent with him will be the most precious in all her life. Zooni sees Delhi, life and love like she never has before, because of Rehan.
What Zooni doesn't know is that Rehan has another side of his life that he has kept from her - something that can not only change her life, but can also destroy it.

Amir Khan wasn't planning nor waiting for a chance to reveal his identity to Kajol. Rather it was a sudden and quiet moment and he just collapsed emotionally. Such brilliant scriptwriting! Still can't believe both Gangster and Fanaa were released almost within the same month in mid-2006. Bollywood was at its peak then.

This is what happens when outstanding performance takes over every thing.
The fact that Aamir Khan only saw Kajol to be Zooni when he first heard the script and the producer - director followed his suggestion to approach Kajol and Kajol rejected the offer from other film and said yes to this film and they both killed my entire screen..... I think it's god's plan. Hopelessly wanting them to be together in another movie again. They're really fantastic.

I am floored by this scene. I have to say that the dance in the rain scene in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is by far the most romantic scene I've ever seen in any movie (which is amazing because they don't even kiss) and this scene is the most dramatic scene I've ever seen in any movie (which is amazing because no one is sobbing). Also I don't understand how she does it but Kajol says a million words with her eyes in one second. These ppl know how to act.
If Shahrukh did this scene; he will over act.

I always want to see Srk and kajol together. But I get totally speechless watching kajol with Aamir. They did only one film together and created such a lovely chemistry!! I would love to see them together again. They both are really great actors.

I love this movie so much. Aamir and Kajol have great chemistry together. Apart from SRK, Aamir is the perfect guy to do more movies with her. Thank God they choose Kajol as Zooni no other actress would have done this character Justice that's why she's my favorite actress there's no one who can take her place. Hope to see more movies soon with Aamir and Kajol.

I watched this movie because I love the soundtrack: Fanaa. First, I doubt kajol and aamir will have good chemistry but still I want to watch it because I'm curious. I never expected they will have great chemistry. It's really blowing my mind. Their chemistry is not forced and rushed. It's flowing naturally and so beautiful. I'm crying so hard in the last scene. Eventhough I've watched another kajol and aamir movies, Rehan-Zooni have the best chemistry! Now I can say that Fanaa is my number one on my Best Indian Movies.
Saw this movie in the theater. NOT A SINGLE person even twitched when this scene was going on. It was pin-drop silence. The intensity of two brilliant actors was amazing.

Rewatched the masterpiece today. Honestly couldn’t hold my tears during the last scene. Hats off to Amir-kajol, these two are spellbound actors. I wish, they did more movies together.

They lived those characters both of them only then they could perform their respective roles with utmost perfection one who is a perfectionist and another who is a queen of naturality and spontaneity,I have seen very rare acting between lovers in hindi cinema but this blew my mind ,only possible because of kajol and aamir's acting skills they acted with brilliance as if they r real parted couples..thats what acting is all about.
When two of the finest actors of South Asia, possibly of the world, join hands and egg each other on to be even better, in a top class director's film, in a very intense scene, with great lines, you get possibly the best scene ever filmed in South Asia in decades. There is no better example of a short, intense scene which propels the movie forward and provides as superb emotional anchor.

Im a Sri Lankan and I watched this movie 5 times. This is my favorite Hindi film and my favorite actor. Every time when I watch it.. I cry. I dont know the reason. But I cry. Last month I watched it again. At the last scene (Amir is shot) I cried again. Amir didnt shoot back. That facial expression cried me a lot and I couldnt stop my crying until hours... What a film.
