Synopsis:
Choices... to choose between right or wrong is simple, but what defines one's life is the decision between the greater of two goods or the lesser of two evils. This is the advice that Zooni Ali Beg (Kajol) receives from her father just as she is about to venture out into the world of her own for the very first time. Little does she know that these very words will shape her life.
Zooni, a blind Kashmiri girl, meets Rehan Qadri (Aamir Khan), a local Delhi tour guide and an incorrigible flirt. Her friends warn her against this good-for-nothing roadside Romeo, but she chooses to ignore them. It is now her time to discover life and love. Is this really the right choice?
Rehan is fascinated by Zooni and wants her to see life as it should be seen, in its many colours. He promises her that the time spent with him will be the most precious in all her life. Zooni sees Delhi, life and love like she never has before, because of Rehan.
What Zooni doesn't know is that Rehan has another side of his life that he has kept from her - something that can not only change her life, but can also destroy it.

I was 13 when this movie came & the whole movie album is still one of my favourite 😍 I really miss these kinda movies where actors doesn't have to show their skin or do unnecessary kissing scenes in order to depict romance. This song was so sensual yet simple, both didn't even touched each other's lips & yet showed so much love for each other. Today's movies have lost the touch of real romance, miss my old Bollywood so much ❤

Kajol is the only actress (IMHO) who is so comfortable in her skin, it shows. Her confidence shows on screen and that’s what makes her so beautiful and attractive. Her beauty is very unconventional.

She has this really exotic kind of beauty (not just an Indian thing, like there is something even more particular about her in this way, I wouldn't even use the term "unconventional" like she's just gorgeous in this way that is just hers -- it seems like to me anyway) -- and it's really something because I think it actually even affects this very scene. Like how you would say a tiger is beautiful versus how a butterfly is beautiful. She has this quality that sort of demands like this protected kind of respect, I don't know how else to explain it. And then add to that throughout the movie you are so focused on her face because she is blind so all her facial expressions are telling you so many things, and she has no self-consciousness because she can't see, so she's just open... so like as a viewer you're just like all up in her space. It all adds up to this effect so that when he picks her up and carries her inside in this song you're immediately like WHOA DUDE you better know what you are doing bc this is not a woman you should just be messing around with. lol I was like omg... If he doesn't marry her after doing this I will not know how to deal ... Really amazing stuff achieved by those two.
