My husband used this video yesterday to make the most delicious brisket I’ve ever had. Thank you!!
Happy to hear this
This was an interesting watch and I dig how your family walking around makes all this feel much more genuine. Inevitably, you're going to get feedback about taste one way or the other (it was great! it sucked! I can't taste anything, but maybe that's the COVID, etc.) But you did a great job in walking me through all the steps and explaining why you do the steps you're doing. Thank you for putting this together!
Thank you so much for the kind words. So happy the video helped. Thanks for the support
I actually did like that, we don’t need to be perfect all the time. My first time watching this.
These packaged corned beef briskets are made to be boiled. If you dont give it a soak for a few hours before you smoke it, it is going to be extremely salty.
Yes
Gotta rinse them really well.
not boiled. simmered with the the fat cap above the broth and veggies so that the convection can crisp the fat cap.
Good informative video. Also good editing. Thank you. Felt like i was learning how to do this from a friend.
the best smoked corned beef i've ever done !! Perfect dry rub !!! Thank you !
great vid! straight to the point. finished product looks great, not sure why all the hate on the thickness of your cut. You cooked it so you get to eat it how you want! Cheers
Thanks for watching.
I’m having the same issue as you when shooting content… I sound like I’m struggling to breathe! In all fairness I probably am… LOL After multiple nose breaks and a few extra pounds I carry around now… I guess it’s inevitable. 🤷🏻♂️
Yeah my Asthma always seems to kick in when im filming lol. Guess i get to excited
I went from watching your how to install ceiling lights to brisket lol. Love the vids and the personality!! Cooking brisket tomorrow!!
Thank you for the support. Let us know how the brisket turns out
Great explanation!! Try soaking in water over night will help extract some of the salt before you season the next day
Thats actually a great idea
No recipe available. Fail.
I followed exactly to the tee...its in the fridge for an overnight brine...tomorrow afternoon I will do an update...looks amazing thanks for this video
🙌🙌
These corned beefs briskets are the best things that ever came out of my smoker, way better taste and softness than anything else by a landslide, and the stuff I'm comparing to was really good.
I keep telling people but they won’t listen 🙌🙌🙌
@614Lyfe you don't have to tell me twice. I smoke these a few times a month. My family lives it. At this very moment Sat. 5/25/24 I'm smoking one for a friend.
You can also NEVER go wrong with a 2-3 little spoonfuls of butter right before you wrap it up!
🙌🙌
Love that your life is still going on in the background. Great video!
Thank you. I appreciate that
Your kids are so lucky to have such a bomb meal! I love doing that for my family, show people you love them, cook them tasty food! Have you ever brined a brisket?
Never tried that before. I thank you for the kind words
@@614Lyfe Hey, my pleasure, thanks for the great meal idea!

I know Im randomly asking but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..?
I stupidly lost my password. I appreciate any tips you can give me
@Kendrick Byron Instablaster =)
@Javier Darius i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im trying it out now.
Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Javier Darius It did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much, you really help me out!
@Kendrick Byron You are welcome =)
In my opinion… no salt needed. It’s already brined like hell. Wash it, pat dry, season it, then smoke it…
Thank you for this video, I'm going to follow you and subscribe...
So you didn’t have to desalinate the corned beef beforehand? I keep hearing that skipping this part makes the final product way too salty but this looks amazing.
Nice and it for some reason was like listening to a friend especially with the kids in the background
So happy you enjoyed the video. Many more to come
You say 195-200, but take it out at 190 then say to smoke it to 185-200. Are you just winging this? I'm confused. 🤔
Please see description
Did you desalinate the meat by soaking it in cold water for a few hours after removing it from the package?
First time watching your channel. Gonna smoke a corned beef brisket tomorrow.
My only question for ya is; those are some thick slices brutha, what is the reat of the family gonna eat!?? Hahaha. Happy Green day to you and yours. Great job btw. Keep sharing the Q!
Lol yes i did cut them a bit on the thick side next time im definitely going to go thinner. You are going to love this recipe. Thanks for watching and happy green day to you sir.
And to you and yours as well!
Just bought a corned beef brisket and looked up recipes for how to cook it in a smoker, and here I am! I will be trying your recipe sometime over the next few days and I will be back with an update. I can't wait!!
EDIT: it was good.
It’s going to be epic
Wheres the update Dean
@@mikeyork144 It was good.
Lmao
Great job! Anyone ever tell you that you look like Surfer version of Roy from The Office? Compliment not insult.
Haven’t heard that one but thanks for the support
Hitting every step for us dummies thank you!!!!!!
I love your vibe bro, great stuff.
Totally doing this for St. Patrick's Day party with my family!
Love it
Havnt completely finished cooking yet. This has to be one of the best recipes i have seen in a long time! No BS and only useful information that i care about. Excellent presentation for just filming around the family home!
Wow, thank you!
Giant eagle Pittsburgh let's go bud.
trying it now. Going to let it rest in the microwave overnight. First time ever smoking anything.
Liked and subbed. Giving this a try, picked my corned beef brisket up for $6. At my local Walmart. This will be my first time smoking a corned brisket and I can not wait to see how it turns out.
Thanks. Let us know how it turns out
@@614Lyfe the smoked brisket turned out amazing, used the same rub , only thing I would do different would be to not add salt to the rub
When you took it out after reaching 190, the smoker read 268F. Curious. Did you bump the temp up? Thought you said to leave it at 225 until 190 IT.
The problem i had was it was so cold outside the electric smoker was having trouble staying the right temp so i did bump it a bit
I like this video because it's like an MTV confessional when he goes to break down what he's doing
Appreciate that
Such a great video and explanation. Thank you, sir!
No problem
I had the same smoker but gave it away. Just like charcoal and wood better and the smoker was not doing that good anyway. Plus you cant store them outside. Anyway great video.
Yeah it definitely takes up alot of room lol. Thanks for watching
I made this again, 3rd time. My daughter asks me to make this for Ruben's, omg.
This makes me so happy to hear
9hrs for that? We're you smoking at 150 degrees? 🤣😂😅
What did the video say
@@614Lyfe *heh*
I caught what the video said; it was just unbelievable how long it took; had I not followed the video I would have guessed you were smoking a 10lb brisket! 😅
Nice effort 👍🏾
Yeah the issue was it was freezing out that day like 7 or 10 F. It was a struggle keeping the electric smoker at temperature lol
Nice video. Good A/V. Open aperature with shallow depth of field is really good. What camera did you use? Also, the corn beef looks delicious! Will have to look at Giant Eagle for the pre-brine soaked brisket.
We use the a7siii with the 24mm 1.4gm for this video. Thanks for watching
I like putting fine ground fresh coffee in the rub. It gives the meat a nice bark.
That is a great idea.
A friend turned me onto this with pork shoulders and it really is an amazing “spice.”
Yuuuuum! Truthfully I never ate corned beef brisket outside of making Rubens but this turned out so good!
So happy to hear this
What type of smoker did you use?
This wasca electric smoker from cabals
Thanks for posting the video. I was looking up this topic because it seems like it's difficult to pull off.
It's easy and tasty
Its pastrami if you smoke it, and you should soak in water before to debrine it
Thanks for watching
OmG...that smoked meat lookS Dangerously Delicious!😍ThankS deeply foR sharinG youR TummiliCiouS Recipe foR all oF uS to learn from!✌🙏😇🌹🌞🌹🍂🍁👻🎃🍁🍂☕🍵☕🍹🌴
After you wrap it, do you place it back in with fat cap up or down or does it matter? The reason I ask is because all the juices will obviously sit at the bottom of the wrap and may destroy the bark.(?) Also do you change smoker temp after wrapping?
Looks amazing 🤩... my favorite RUclips cook, hands down
My man. It was amazing
Don't use the salt guys. Corned beef has enough in it.
Cool story
First time watcher, needed some confidence for doing a corned beef brisket myself. You gave me all the information I was needing.
Subscribed, great content. Real life, kids and all. That is what im looking for. Thanks!
you said you are using 1 1/2 teaspoons with all season to mix together , but you said with the I Cayenne pepper you said use half of a tablespoon ? are all the season to be 1 1/2 teaspoons . or table spoons, Please respond
Yes the cayenne pepper is teaspoons not tablespoon. But if you like it spicy you can do 1 1/2 teaspoons
@@614Lyfe You didn't really answer the question, which was are ALL the seasonings to be measured in teaspoons or tablespoons. I had to watch the video twice to surmise that the answer is tablespoons. My brisket is on the smoker now, so we'll see how it comes out.
Hey man!! I like your style! I have two going on the smoker now. Im using a container with water to keep the smoke and atmosphere in the smoker a little more humid. Did you spray during your smoke? Also, do you check for fat render before wrapping? Just curious.
Looks tasty. I'm going to try it but I don't have access to "butcher paper". Can parchment paper be used instead?
You can use tin foil. And alot of time you can get some of that paper from the mest counter of the grocery store
@@614Lyfe Ok. Thanks for sharing the recipe. I'll go find out if the local grocer has some to sell. Thanks for the tips. Do you have this recipe in print or just on RUclips?
Salt and pepper is all ya need my dude
this helps for my brisket tomorrow. but sounds like you could use some Primatine Mist! ;)
Yeah my Asthma was acting up that day.
Pretty salty without a braise bath in that wrap.
Thabks for watching
1 and half tablespoon not teaspoon
I use a deli slicer after, my kids like it for sandwiches. ( their very picky and they still love it )
Thats what i need to buy. That would make for some great thin sliced meat. great idea
You should put an affiliate link for some of your products at least that internal temperature tool I have to go look for it now. Thanks for the video.
Good video!!!! That looked super good.
I've always been curious what does the resting do?
It make it so when you cut it you don’t lose the juices
If I missed you saying it my bad, but how often did you add wood chips?
I just add them as needed I think I added them 3 times
Thank you!
Love the hair. Growing my hair out too. Love the recipe.
Thanks for watching
It failed the bend test... but good video.
Ty
Looking like post malone with downs
He wishes
Bro! Lol!!! MAN BUNN? Seriously lol.
yes thats how i roll
Plan on test driving this recipe over the weekend
Enjoy
I'm going my 5th briskets. It's even great on regular brisket.
Love the kidos in the video, doing it live!
The Only way to do it. Keeps it authentic
Thanks!
I'm intrigued.
I'm going to smoke one on my Okie Joe Highland Offset smoker.
I don't like the heavy breathing noises, homeboy sounds like he cranking the hog.
Can I use parchment paper
Don’t think it is thick enough
Did you have to brine it in water first
I did not
Thank you so 💓 Much for this video. Great technique 👌. I always wanted to learn how to smoke Corn Beef. Looks Good and Delicious 😋.
I've been doing this today. I can't wait until it's done. I'm honestly like salivating right now. My husband isn't too happy bc I used his smoker but I don't care because this looks so bomb. I cannot wait to try it.
You will love it
Cook girl cook!!!
Is corn beef is salt enough
It does for sure
So happy I found this video... this is exactly what I was looking for
So happy to help
You are holding a tablespoon and say teaspoon
Hard to say
@@614Lyfe excellent my friend, just made it. 3 briskets for a party
Why add salt to corn beef?
not alot was added
Alot of A-holes on the comments. Ignore the bs man, you seem cool keep doing what your doing!
Appreciate it. Don’t worry I’m definitely winning right now 🙌🙌
Hey we have the exact same smoker my dude!
Nice job brother. NH approved
Appreciate it good sir. Thanks for watching
Got one on the smoker now! Thanks!
Family man and a good pit cook… u rock bro… nice chain too
When listing the dry rub ingredients, you said to measure 1.5 teaspoons, but you actually measured each in tablespoons. Critical error.
It was an Alcad 1.5 Tbsp measuring spoon. Says it right in video.
This dudes gotta be from pittsburgh getting a brisket at giant eagle
Columbus but close
My daughter loved this. She tried her first Rubin, and then just ate it for a snack till it was gone.
Love too hear that
Thanks dude
No problem
NICE DUDE!!!!!
Thanks
Made it again. 🎉
Great video, thank you brother.
Happy to help. Cooking it tomorrow myself

I think you made pastrami
Ill take it
Great job!
I wouldn’t cut that much of a thick slice
We will try thinner next time

Not one bit
