I loved the medium tuning in the snare. But with the low tuned toms and kick drum. Sounds cool. I don’t have a hole in my bass drum skin, should I cut one?
I love this, Great video! Ive never seen a comparison of a low vs High tuning full kit. I dig the high snare but the low kit otherwise. Just preference ahaha, Awesome!!! 100% subbed and checking more out!
you all probably dont give a shit but does someone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost the login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Kellen Jordy i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
To reduce snare buzz, pitch your snare drum away from the Tom's pitch so they don't resonate at the same frequency. You will never get rid of the buzz completely, but this is the main cause.
Can't do anything wrong when tuning drums? I'm living proof that you can. 🥴
Me the f too

It's ideal if you're putting microphones for your drums, but they're not that necessary.

@Kellen Jordy It worked and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much you really help me out !
@Austin Lane glad I could help xD
When you say "tune the reso head slightly higher than the batter", how much is "slightly"? And it is different for the snare, kick, and toms?
I aim for a half step (sort of white key to black key on piano style) but experiment
👍🏻
Never tune reso higher 🤮
@@huseinmahmutovic7822 Why?
Great video and content, but there’s definitely something wrong with that kick drum mic.
I thought the medium snare tuning sounded best
I think I saw that the drums are a mapex, the drummer sounds really wonderful too and wonderful
Thanks!
great video. when you show the snare from low, to medium to high tuning, did you just tighten the batterhead (and leave the reso head the same?)
What HZ Freq are you at ?
Epic mapex kit!
very good video...so, what's about snare reso tension please?
Tight as a table top!!! Then make sure your snares don't choke... Keep them loose
@@gusbandicoot ok thank you
But not so tight that the head splits at the bearing edge. (A perfect example of how you- well, I- can totally get it wrong!)
I fcking love drums./ Even though I play the guitar. I can almost feel how amazing it must be to hit them drums
Mapex drums are the best!
4:50 the drums sound amazing
low tuning for me
And for the snare buzz??!!😤😤😤
