Increased permits are no good when they are full of strings attached and hoops to jump through to get started. So it doesn’t MATTER how many permits they give if the regulations they put in place delay actual drilling for YEARS. They don’t MENTION that!

The other factor is that the oil companies are gun shy. Millions of dollars were spent on the Keystone XL pipeline to get all the approvals and start building it only to have Biden stop it before they can recoup any of that money invested. Are they willing to take a chance and spend millions to develop a new oil field only to have the war in Ukraine end all of a sudden and Biden pull all the permits? I know if I were in the oil business, I would be hesitant to making new developments as long as the Democrats were in charge.

Hilarious, Granholm used the same kind of rhetoric as governor of Michigan as her increasing taxes forced longtime companies to become no longer profitable and lose money, force layoffs, etc., to leave and go to states that were business friendly. Large amounts of residents left the state because of her and her cohorts who had no empathy for them. She would say the same thing, "We are doing everything we can....", she even went to a local radio station to talk about her "efforts" of finding and luring manufacturers with incentives to come to Michigan, the host of the radio show confronted her about a large Japanese company looking to increase its manufacturing presence in the United States, looking for new employees and management, acquiring property and land to build, they had been searching for weeks for the right environment. Granholm's response to this was, " Uhh...uhh...ohh...well, I will have look into this....". Days later, it announced this company picked the environment that met its needs, in Indiana.
Yeah, the only reason companies love her now is because all their owners are the Chinese.

You really don't see the connections. Because Putin invaded Ukraine, Europe stopped it's import of oil from Russia, about 2.2 million barrels a day. Because of this, Europe needed oil from some other source, and the US stepped up to provide some, about 1.2 million barrels a day; and other countries did the same. It is called helping out our friends in need in order to support Ukraine in it's fight for freedom against Putin and Russia. And supply and demand. Given this, I can only assume you do not support freedom and the fight for it among our friends and neighbors, when they are attacked. Or is it that you care about nothing but yourself, and Ukraine be damned? Oil is a globally traded commodity and world events from the pandemic to the invasion WILL impact it. Economics is a complicated subject and easy, pat, one word word answers will not suffice. Blackburn might have learned that, had she listened to the answers instead of cutting off the secretary, or talking over her. Can you say performative art?
When Granholm was Governor of Michigan I watched her do a live interview, then a Q&A afterward, talking with a box of rocks would be more rewarding, as you don't get loaded down with BS
