Read the book to learn more about this story and how to become a Mr. Jensen for your students, employees and family.
“When we help team members, students, and co-workers to become more of who they already are - retention improves, sales increase, academic success soars and your people win...Be a Mr. Jensen!"
Emmy Award-winning Keynote Speaker Clint Pulver helps organizations that want to retain, engage and inspire their younger workforce. As the President and founder of The Center for Employee Retention, Clint has transformed how corporations like Keller Williams, AT&T and Hewlett Packard create lasting loyalty through his work and research as “The Undercover Millennial”.
He has appeared on America’s Got Talent and in several different Feature Films with actors like Jack Black (School of Rock) and John Heder (Napoleon Dynamite). Clint was named one of Business Q Magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40” for his work in helping corporations elevate their “WHY” of mentorship in the workplace and how connected and engaged employees yield loyal and long-term retention within organizations.
For over a decade, Clint has helped leadership teams diminish turnover, increase engagement and create an organization their people never want to leave. With a blend of humor, unforgettable stories, and actionable takeaways that stick, Clint convinces audiences on the power of “The Mentorship Effect,” and why some leaders create lasting loyalty and others don’t.

Been teaching 20 years. The night before I started, I made myself a promise that I would be the sort of teacher I wish I'd have had when I was younger. And that's kept me in good stead all these years.

I love your comment. You are a very special person . Nowadays our kids are thrown things that no child should have to hear and if my kids were still of school age I would pull them out because they are being taught evil and parents need to put up the hardest fight they have ever faught until it is won.

Why aren't there more teachers like this man? I was told by teachers that I was stupid, shamed. He's 1 in a million. Teachers shouldn't be a teach just because it's a job. But because they care & want to help children.

Clint is a member of a church I go to, a couple of days ago our church had an activity and we all got called into the chapel for something. We all walked in and got seated and they pulled up Zoom and Clint was on the other end. He told us that story. After the story, he pulled out his drum sticks and played an amazing drum solo for us.

Definitely a tear jerker! Undiagnosed ADHD well into adulthood is awful.. feel guilty and wrong and a nuisance all the time. But once you realize what it is, and that you can use your condition constructively, in a way that serves YOU, the world is your oyster if you want to be. 😊

As a psychologist of 28 years, may I offer the following. Maybe it's not undiagnosed ADHD. Maybe it's just another way of being in the world that works well in some places and not so well in other places. ADHD is a diagnosis that explains distractibility and hyperfixation and many other phenomena, which are conveniently encompassed by the growing number of subtypes. Pathologising normality and difference is increasingly problematic. I'm accept there are presentations that might well warrant consideration of a diagnosis. I'm suggesting we might well benefit from lifting the threshold, at least just a tad.

Also takes the dog’s water bowl (with or without) and will turn it over and get the nearest thing to bang on it. He started when he was able to sit up. This is incredible! I woke up this morning from a dream about being a middle school student. I remembered this young man, who I used to be inspired by, whenever he would play the drums. I was a closed off shy kid, and I would think, man I wish I could just let loose in front of people, I wish I could allow myself to bang on these drums in the rhythms that my heart felt. I wish I could smile and welcome conversation with kids I didn’t know.
I remember this kid, who seemed to do this effortlessly and, I know he never knew this, but I use to admire this person and his ability to do these things.
His name was Clint, so the moment you received those sticks, you started inspiring others, whether you knew it or not.
Many years have past and I forgot about moments like these, until I awake from a dream, remembering this name, why, I don’t know. So I look this person up and, come across this quote
“ It’s not about being the best in the World. It’s about being the best for the World.”
    Be a Clint Pulver
    God bless!

I just started working in a school setting last school year and I’ve been told multiple times that I shouldn’t grow too close to students and I should protect my mental health (mostly from outsiders but even from some within the building). Talking to students is my favorite part of my job and I’ve found that so many just want to be heard, and need someone to vent to. It’s heartbreaking but I wouldn’t trade those conversations for “a little peace”. I will continue to strive to be a Mr.Jensen!❤

So inspiring! Hope that all teachers could see students as a gem rather than as a trouble, just like what Mr. Jensen did.

This has to be the most moving and inspirational video I have ever seen. Always see the potential in children, allow them to be creative and expressive. Something sadly which schooling does not allow for, unfortunately.

I'm a Music Teacher. AS SOON AS he said he tapped all the time, I knew!!! Drummers NEED to tap!!! Certain traits and abilities are simply born into us. It is up to the adults around us to recognize those traits and abilities in us because children don't have the understanding and experience to do it for themselves. I wish identifying musical traits in children was part of all educators' training. I think there would be fewer "behavior problems" if it were.
