thx for the video really considering this board. HAve a few questions about this board. Notice this does not have a led indicator for errors, how will you how to look up errors ? 2nd question is there a led on the rear io port? And how many fans can i add to each fan header using a splitter? And the last is more of a why no power and reset buttons on the board/ THX for a great video
For the error there are different ways to troubleshoot depending on how the computer is responding. GIGABYTE has a add-on that we can use to evaluate issues if you do run into one. As for the Rear IO there is no light on it this time. Depends on the splitter and if its a powered splitter, the Header will just see it as a single fan. Power / Reset Buttons are used mainly for trouble shooting or open bench systems. Most users immediately place it in a chassis so these were not implemented.
Thank you for answering my Questions, THe splitter question was to see if i could add 2 fans per header so that i could use your fan control software to run my fans. it's been a few years since i owned a gigabyte board and i will be coming back for this board. Would love to see a video on your updated bios!!!!
You would have to go into your BIOS to see if it can detect it. Then set your boot priority so that it is either the first or secondary boot device depending on what you need it for.
The X99-Designare EX has a PLX chip which allows it to support 3 PCIe (Full Length Slots) at x16 PCIe Gen3 for a 28 Lane Processor only. Other differences would include future upgrade support as well as the dual U.2's
:), yes a bit but its definitely well worth it if you are using the U.2's as well as multi-graphics cards. Did I mention this comes with WiFi and Bluetooth?
Yea I appreciate that, the only put off is when you look at the rear I/O and then you look at the price... lol hope you could give some feedback to the team
Newegg says this includes "Intel 8260 WIFI module onboard". But I can't see this on the motherboard shown in the video. Is this a misprint? Or is this module included in the box?

GIGABYTE Motherboards Thanks for the fast response! So price wise the Designare is more expensive?
