This is the best Hooked I've seen yet. He relates the emotional gravity of the riff that hooked him and has yet to let him go in a way I can relate to my early excitement about guitar. This is a great idea for a series and I always check them out. If you don't happen to know much about Mr. Strange here, please do yourself a favor and check out the band live - they kill. Stream "Mustang" or "Boomer" or the newer stuff "Heavy Heart" or "Cosign" to get an idea. He has a great EP of The National covers, "Goodbye to Pretty Boy". One of my fave contemporary musicians and one to look for in the future. I'm obvi a fan. That's a '59 Jazzmaster as I understand, BTW.
I call it the Machine Gun Riff/Lick because I feel like that’s what Jimi tried to imitate and he holds and sways the guitar like a Tommy gun when he does it live.
It's an interpretation. If you don't recognize it, I'd check your ears man, sounds on par. Plus a live version of Jimi's playing might not even be recognizable to you, he didn't always play things exactly the same everytime / he was kinda all over the place with notes. ruclips.net/video/WDSlbFjTYBg/видео.html go listen to this and close your eyes, isolate the guitar and really this guy isnt far off from playing like hendrix tbh.
I try not to learn other peoples stuff too much, I have my ''TOOLS'' and I try and work with those and just learn generic stuff as I go along this path!!!...................😎💘🤍💙🦉🎸......................✍🏼

Man, I love Jazzmasters.
love Bartees!
Love that riff! Jimi played accompanied by a pelvic thrust for each note! Good Stuff!
Love your interview here . Same with me but I was ten years old in the fifth grade. Keep on inspiring.

Very tasty vibrato :)) But the sound wants the best. Thank you for the pleasant moments All the best! Glory to Ukraine !
What he's playing is almost completely unrecognizable from Hey Joe.

Are we really questioning the lyrics to Hey Joe now? Come on it’s just a story.
I hope you still have your faith.
