    I really respect Regina's dad for being able to adjust his point of view and adapt to the culture that Regina grew up in. I know first hand that not many traditional Chinese parents can do that.

    That last line from Regina's dad though! Ahhh. But really, thanks everyone for watching this series! It was so special reconnecting with friends and their parents to share such meaningful moments. I hope the show encourages everyone to engage in your own conversations within your family. Please keep sharing these videos! Thanks again!

    "As a child, I always wanted you and mom to better understand me, but as I got older, I realized that as much as I want to be understood, I wanted to understand you as well." oh man, this really spoke to me. The day I realized my parents were human too - with their own issues and histories - was the worst and best day. The worst because I *had* to forgive them for their mistakes and our differences, but the best because I could let go of my ideas of what I wanted them to be and just let them be who they were. I try to spend less time talking and more time listening to them now - I think it's helped with our relationship.

    All I've ever wanted was my parents to just say "I'm proud of you". Hearing Regina's dad say that she went beyond their expectations and that they're proud of her really broke me. I hope I can get to a point in my life where my parents can think the same ;-;

    Watching these Mom-N-Pop videos are so healing to me. I don't have a good relationship with my parents and realistically, I don't think it'll ever get to this level of openness, intimacy and warmth. But watching these conversations continues to remind me that I still care and desire to have this kind of relationship with them. So, I will keep trying.
    Thanks WF for continuing to find ways to melt our hearts and bettering humanity!

    I know this series isn’t putting as many numbers as other series is but please please please keep it going. In our time, many kids just shelter their lives away from their parents and this gives kids a perspective of what a healthy relationship can be. Please please keep uploading these ❤️❤️❤️

    I love love love what Mom-N-Pop achieved! Being an Asian, its always difficult to open up to ones parents. However, all stories touched my heart, opened the flood gates and made ME want to reconnect and talk with my mum over our favourite food. Thank you, WongFu team, for creating such wonderful and meaningful content! I would love to see a second season of it or a hybrid! Sending you guys lots of love from Singapore!

    Of course the last episode is the one that would be the most emotional for me (which is saying a lot since I already ugly cried through the first two). It's bittersweet seeing the conversation I wish I could have with my father, to hear that even if my life path doesn't match his expectations, he can still be proud of me and be glad that I'm happy even if it's through choices he doesn't understand. I spent a lot of this episode envious of Regina and wishing Zhuang could give a talk to the more traditional Asian parents to teach them that change is ok! There isn't just one definition of success.
    I am also so moved by how Zhuang shared the story about his grandfather and how hearing about his elder's relationship with parents influenced his own way of thinking about his child. It shows that every generation really does learn from each other, either as a model like Regina and Zhuang or as something that can be improved like between Zhuang and his grandfather. It really shows how thoughtful and considerate Zhuang is and the depth of his empathy.
    I truly hope you can bring this back. This series is so incredibly special. Thank you and all the families involved for sharing your hearts.

    currently bawling my eyes out. my dad and i have always had a good relationship - me trying to be the best daughter i can be & him supporting the family and providing a comfortable life. but more recently, ive just felt that our personalities dont match (some things he does/say trigger me & gets me upset - unintentionally) maybe it's just a phase but i dont see a future where i can talk about my feelings without breaking down because to be very honest im not even sure why. i guess this video just gives me the slightest hope that when im slightly older, sort of figured out what im going to do with my life, will i be able to be comfortable enough to be vulnerable in front of him.
    (i probably need therapy and am just ranting). i think its beautiful to watch these episodes and appreciate our parents' past, present and their future thoughts. hearing all these perspectives and wisdom makes me want to just be a better person and in the future, possibly a better parent.

    I am Korean-Russian from Sakhalin Island and we have quite a large Korean community who I really believe would enjoy watching your videos.
    These series especially, they touch on an important aspect of a parent-child relationship and show the value these kinds of discussions can bring to our life.
