I seriously love this pedal my friend let me borrow it for about 3 or 4 weeks now and for bedroom jams, band practice and even small gigs this thing is great. I hope I never have to give it back haha
Out of curiosity, as I've been looking for a good overdrive pedal, would this work well alongside the Metal Zone 2 to switch efficiently and smoothly between clean, overdriven, and distorted sounds? I can't land on a good overdrive, so this seems like it could really add that element to my sound while making the distortion a little more manageable.
It's not bad as an OD by itself and I would recommend it for sure. I'm assuming you have an "overdrive" channel or a gain knob on the amp you are using, I would suggest using it as a boost on top of the overdrive you already have. I would also recommend a used Maxon OD808 or Ibanez Tube Screamer on eBay or Reverb.com for the same purpose if price is an issue.
kingfullmetal If you run 2 Metal Zones in series.... it should clear up the problem.... but you're really going to want to dime the gain on at least one of those bad boys. You're welcome.
no offence, but i think for metal reviews you guys should choose a proper metal amp, IMO the tone in the video even with the precision drive on is quite muddy and unpleasant to the ears.
The way it was designed to work was to tighten a slightly flubby amp. Doesn't really work when you brighten and tighten a guitar sound that sounds like And justice for all to begin with, Paul.
He's not a metal player, so that's expected haha. Go to Ola Englund's channel if you want metal. Here ya go ruclips.net/video/ucI7e0j_Mfg/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/4_W4C7StMaA/видео.html Or Keith Merrow. Here ya go ruclips.net/video/eROdTJqe7s4/видео.html Or Rabea Massaad. Love mine so much. Makes me feel like my tone was awful before I started using it!
Paul reminds me of sponge bob employee of the month.
Your sound without that pedal is a monster. Just crushes!
Great review Daddy P!
Oh Paul is back haha
I think the reviews should start with the playing right from the beginning(free Paul playing)and leave the specs to the middle. IMO
I'm just glad he said Djent right this time

Sounds like a 5150 amp used. Dunno. Sounds familiar
