"We lost 2 games this year but unfortunately that's what happens when you play good teams" - SMU Head coach Rhett Lashley ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ Ummmmmm what? This sounds awfully familiar. TY coach for explaining Bama's argument so eloquently. BTW coach, you also just made the argument for SoS mattering. You will have to let us know what good teams you played this year that even remotely compare to the competition in the SEC. I wasn't sure I heard that correctly. I had to go back and listen to it a couple more times lol. I was like ... REALLY??!! lol
I was never an athlete (band kid), but I REALLY ENJOY the strategic side of football. I would love to learn more about offensive and defensive setups, looks, etc. Is there a good resource anyone would recommend where I can learn more?
In this 12 team playoff, unless a team can play and win their conference championship game, don’t LOSE 3 conference games and expect to get into the playoff. When the playoff changes to 14 or 16 teams in 2026, that may change but with this 12 team playoff, 3 losses are just too many to overcome without winning a conference championship.
Let that go. Look at what is behind the funding that thought process. You’ll find the comment you made is ironic. PS - agree on the bias, just not the conspiracy you seem to agree with.
Committee screwed Bama, the threw in this Boy Scout team. Strength of schedule means nothing when the week before it did..CFP rewarded SMU for losing their last game…
Wait, are you talking about the Bama that went 5-3 in their last 8?? Dropping 2 games to 6-6 teams, one of which they got absolutely dog walked and lost by 3 scores and didn't put up a touchdown all game and got shutout for 3 quarters? Are you talking about the same Bama that benefitted from a hectic CFB Saturday, while they were playing MERCER and went up 3 spots because of it?? And only dropped 4 spots the next weekend after getting...again....DOG WALKED by a mediocre team..???? Literally just stfu lol
You guys got the head coach of SMU on here. I'm surprised this channel isn't bigger. Good interview!

I am SO Glad that SMU didn't get jobbed by the committee... SMU earned the spot and I hope they make a legit run!
I agree, they earned it for sure
Who did they beat to earn a spot in the playoffs?
@@RonTDB they beat bama , Georgia , Oregon , and Texas. They are the best team in college football history dude tf
@@jetcloner3033 Yeah right. They couldn't even beat 17th ranked Clemson much less a top 10.
@@RonTDB The other teams they played.
As A Georgia Fan I'm Happy They Got In Because What Happened Last Year Of FSU SMU Well Deserve
We all know why Georgia wanted to have SMU in the playoffs. They have a Bama problem.
Im excited to SMU in the playoff
Great 4th qtr for SMU but in most years nobody is scoring 17 4th qtr points from behind against a Clemson defense but this is not most years.

We need contracts in college now too especially tied to NIL deals
I didnt realize until this past week that those NIL deals don't really have a contract attached. That's crazy
boy that tiny cap connection is good

Is he the next Auburn coach after the Hugh Freeze experiment mercifully comes to an end next year?
Hugh freeze is the guy man just wait
Hope Cinderella wins. Go SMU!!
Very happy for SMU to make the field; they have a better case than Alabama does.
Auburn needs to hire SMU Coach was 2013 OC for Guz Malzahn

Keep crying 😭 lmao bama sucks
By a FG, they lost by a last second FG. Bama was twiddling their thumbs last weekend. Pipe down and shut up.
Score a touchdown against OK next time
