Greetings from Central Asia Worship Ministry (93 churches)!
-will I be able to monitor the plugins without printing them on the track itself?
-can I include any audio interface that contains Dante, or is it exclusively on Yamaha interfaces?
-in mixing the Dsp in Daw will have also vst rack plugins ?
-what about 3rd party plugins ?
As a Nuendo studio user, I would love the opportunity to purchase VST Rack on it's own without the RUio, to offload some plugins to a separate computer.
yo~ like~top upload.Yamah_aGlobal,
Can you use vst plugins from other companies?
this ruio16-d can power by POE?
😊👍👌
The problem is, Yamaha doesn’t let you do channel inserts via Dante on their consoles except for PM rivage if I’m correct.
It is also possible on QL series.
Well it kinda makes sense, if it would be possible to send an insert to a dante connection on the internal dante chip built into the cl series, you would reduce the maximum possible channel count. Example: 48 dante inputs from stage, on 16 channels you insert the vst rack system -> as you need another dante input connection as a return channel, you in fact need all 64 dante inputs of the chip. In this situation it might work theoretically comcerning the Dante connections of the chip, but what, if there more actual inputs are needed?
The 64 channels of the internal chip seem to be kind of „reserved“ for actual channel inputs, as the potential 48 SLOT I/Os (Slot 1-3) can be used as extra Dante Connections for the Send/Return setup. Hope that helps a bit, but thats just my supposition
Wow that was fast lol
is it class compliant?!?!
Wait... Is this a USB-C Dante Audio Interface? If so, how many channels can it stream at a time at what resolution?
I've had latencies issues with DVS... Might just buy this if it's what I think it is.
🙂👍🏻
I want
Are there any plans to support AVB? I’m frustrated as I keep seeing a slower, proprietary protocol (Dante) instead of an faster, open protocol (AVB).
AVB has some advantages, but is unlikely to replace Dante, IMHO. Dante can be run alongside other traffic on ordinary network switches, while AVB can’t. Dante access and authentication can be managed with existing LDAP/active directory services, which are super common in institutions. For many applications, AVB isn’t even something to consider.
Highly recommend NOT getting this. Firstly the latency isn't any better than DVS. Second and most importantly dealing with the Steinberg portion of this is ridiculous. there's other better options just as expensive WITHOUT having to deal with the HUGE hassle getting it set up let alone to add it to another computer. Trust me.
Which would be better options, in your opinion?
I also wanna know what's the other options. I cannot find any other multichannel dante to usb class compliant device.
rme digiface dante for instance?
