  • Pullerbears have been described as weed wrenches not that they are Weed Wrenches. These are two distinctly different products and Pullerbear, in no shape or form, wants to be mistaken as a Weed Wrench. There’s a good reason why the original Weed Wrench company no longer exists. The concept was original but there were several flaws.
The best thing that came from the Weed Wrench was the name. It was not only the name but an excellent descriptor. A company called CP Designs trademarked “weed wrench” in 2019 and now has filed a cease and desist against us and anyone else, I guess, that uses the two words “weed” and “wrench”. As far as we know tree puller, weed puller, root wrench, tree tugger and every other descriptor we’ve used for the last 20 years are safe use.
Interestingly, CP Designs has no domain for Weed Wrench, no presence on Amazon, no online store, no bricks and mortar store and the only place we can find a Weed Wrench is on the Uprooter.com site. It seems Curtis Pearce may be the C and P in CP Designs. He’s actually, marketing his Uprooter as a Weed Wrench - an orange Uprooter. We guess the Uprooter couldn’t stand on it’s own so co-opting the oldest descriptor for these manual tree pullers is an attempt to reconstitute a flawed design.
Good luck to CP Designs in their attempt re-roll their square wheel.
Please, do not confuse Pullerbears for the Weed Wrench.
