That video was honestly a defining moment for the closeted and very confused high school me. I know it's a bit messy with stereotypes and masculinity etc etc, but it also really helped show me that gay gays can look like and be anyone. Especially being from a rural southern town, it was really significant in me accepting myself and eventually coming out.

Videos from 10 years ago don't have to represent who you are today, that the whole point of growing as a person. We were all young and cringy lol. No need to delete or private any videos in my opinion.

Even if you feel like this isn’t a good representation of the person you are today, this kind of videos will remain as a main memory for the young gay I was back in the closeting days. And it was so new to openly speak about sexuality on a big platform. So You should be proud of them videos because they made me (and probably others) feel like I was not the only one. Life saving

I was bummed to see that you were removing your videos. I understand that they don't represent 'you today', but they do represent your journey.
However, those videos ALSO represent parts of the journey of many of your listeners. I am included in this group. You were one of the RUclipsrs that were integral with accepting myself in my 30s as I had just come out at 32 and was starting to navigating a new way of living and wondering WTF to do, how to act, and how to love myself.
Your videos entertained me a lot, but they also made me feel hope, to feel like I deserved to be happy, like it was ok to actually find ME.

It helped expose me to a ((gay)) creative who I felt I related to, and it has been wonderful seeing you grow and be shaped into who you are now. For what it's worth, I enjoyed your old videos still because they reminded me of the path I have taken to get where I am today. This is actually the first time I've seen this video lol though it's wholesome throughout with people having good answers and accepting you as well as having a good moral at the end so I say this video actually aged well. Regardless, I'm in agreement with other comments that there is no need to delete or private your old videos as I say it'll be good to see how much you have grown as part of your journey even if you are not perfect which makes us human that we can only accept but also for those who have looked up to you for the past years including myself as one of my earliest LGBTQ RUclipsr. Also, you may see yourself as cringy in this video but I wouldn't say so at all with you being the same genuine person I've always been watching.

iI'm gay, I'm older, was extremely homo-phobic and a fundamentalist Christian in the 80s , ( midwest) when I came out/ during the AIDS crisis & struggled with my sexuality... it isn't easy when 'being "gay' is a derogatory term in all grade schools.
    I survived with no role-models.
What I find sad/intersting is that your generation is SOoo self-conscious , like it's always being filmed for YT, insta, etc.
No one is judging , really , and if they are it's not important. Self judgement is the worst. I have found sacred plant ceremonies to be the fastest form of therapy for building self-knowledge and overcoming low self esteem. I no longer give a F , except where my heart says I do. "What others think is None of my biz' is my mantra. I love myself and I love others. life is simple now. thx for your explorations, you have everything going for you!

Not me crying because you pointed out this was 10 years ago! I remember so vividly when seeing that videos back then and how they made me feel. I got all emotional because I though of the growth you have done as well my own since then. Wow look at us 😅

I remember watching this when it came out “of the closet” and I enjoyed the view down memory lane. Not sure if you dress British or not haha, but such a great video, as always Mark. Love the positive vibes and I still enjoy all your content without a doubt. It certainly is a reminder that I should go through my old videos and delete the cringe as well! Lol. Keep up the great work Mark.

If you didn’t cringe at yourself ten years ago, you would not have evolved and grown into the man you are today. Be happy Mark!

Mark, you don't need to remove any videos. Yes, this is hella cringe I even remember thinking that when I watched this all those years ago. I thought "Oh, he (as we all do) doesn't want to be thought of as effeminate and is worried he may "look gay". I did the same thing just didn't have a youtube channel to post it on lol.

It did have a little taste of "humble brag" also but I think that is just cause you are a handsome man and people are going to comment as such.

It’s not odd, it’s still a good relevant video. Keep it, you’ve never looked silly, you presented confidently while comfortable with yourself. Keep it, gold.
