    • @zetristan4525

@@rogerreverence4737 What is frustrating tho is that since 2014 he never worked out how to win a match against Federer or Djoker off clay. At least Djoker had the heart to win a few of their encounters on clay meanwhile. We want to see true rivalries where either player could win: Rafa was so close to beating Djoker Wimbledon 2018 SF.
Of course, they're the highest level opponents in history of tennis, and you're right, Rafa is top class on all surfaces against other players, as he proved in 5-set finals vs "HC specialist" Medvedev USO 2019 and AO 2022. He was on the brink of winning AO 2012 vs Djoker, but missed an easy pass (Such a mentally strong player psyched out?)

From my observation, Hewitt’s defense game was his strong point. He would win points by grinding down the opposition until they made mistakes. But once his body went down hill it was game over for Hewitt, unfortunately. I think such a game style took its toll on him quicker than others.
