    at least you weren't in it at the time. Just more work for you, I have sunk many a dinghy and outboard, you get good at pickling them after awhile. Be safe, My Sister is getting drenched in Houston as well. Who would have thought me leaving on a island picked the better spot.

      Off Grid Nation Took me 5 hours to do alone, but all is well and the dinghy is afloat once more. 6 (14 metre) wood boats sink today... happy my only issue was the dinghy. We were getting over 90mm of rain every hour !!!

      Bertrand JENNER Yes !!!! 91mm per hour. Winds at max gust were 102km/h

    You're gonna need a bigger bilge pump!

      Aaron DC mediA You are correct. 800 gallons per hour was not enough. 1,500 gallons per hour bilge pump is already installed once she was floating again
      !!!

      SarkyBugger Part of a sailors life, but the dinghy is afloat once more. Took 5 hours alone, but a job well done !!! It's beer 30 now !!!

      Part of life on the ocean... could have been worse, but all is well now... 99% perspiration is the key. Over a dozen boats over 50 foot long sank because they did not prepare. Glad my only issue was the dinghy that I fixed alone... gotta smile about that ! But also made me aware I needed a bigger bilge pump. A lesson well learned !
