Live & Interview, from VIVA2 "2 Rock"
Monster Magnet were the headliners on that tour, but in this TV special the main focus lies on QOTSA. What a fantastic tour package ("God Says No" & "Rated R" were their new albums back then), I was at the show one day later in Stuttgart (05.12.2000).

1998-2002 I was catching QOTSA in small clubs in the Pacific Northwest. That era was something amazing.
That makes two of us man. Also been seeing Magnet since 1992 up here
Lucky Bastard!
I caught them in an OPENING slot at a music festival just after no one knows was a #1 in our country. I was still going in the pit at that point it was craaazy good.
Same with System of a down. No way you would see these guys playing at 11am now lol.
I would’ve loved to seen this tour
i was there, right in front of Josh
@@holimolification nice!!!

not both of them trying to flirt with the interviewer lol
Monster Magnet were headliners and QOTSA became one of the biggest rock bands in the world. What went wrong? I mean I love QOTSA (until Lullabies) but Monster Magnet still kicks ass too.
Lullabies is their best album
@@aaronmadrigal4626 I meant I loved Lullabies too. From there they went downhill.
@@manofknives nah like clockwork and era vulgaris are great albums
@@manofknives don't get me started on them crooked vultures either
@@aaronmadrigal4626 Amen! Thank you!! People who complain that they don't like Queens' albums after Deaf or Lullabies kill me... greatest band of all time
Geiler Shice !
boogNisH rising......
What a travesty that QOTSA went on to make millions while Monster Magnet carried on playing the same venues.
I saw them tour together in the UK, when to the bar when QOTSA came on. Though I did get into their stuff a few years later and then they released that godawful Villians album.
Monster Magnet were too Rawk to appeal to a mainstream audience, too Rök
Those guys are tripping
what a bad demon Josh Homme became...
you are the demon
You can tell how cocky he was back then...and ad on another 10 years of success and it turns him into a monster. But...he’s one talented fucking monster.
@@kennethkovacik4763 indeed
How do you mean ?
Josh is such a flaming narcissist. It’s so obvious he can’t stand not being the center of attention. Dave is so much cooler and collected. Josh is fidgeting and wobbling in his seat. Interrupting and bringing the conversation back to him. I checked out years ago.
LOL you ok buddy?
Hahaha you're thinking too much!
