I 100% agree!! 😁💕 Thank you for saying so, too….it is so good to have you be part of this online art community!

Can't agree more! The artistic voice will always be valuable and we as artists have thoughts, feelings and ideas that AI will never be able to take away from us ❤

For real! I genuinely hope more people begin thinking this way!! (Which is, of course, why we have to keep creating!) 😆💖

One of the problems I'm having with AI is that it doesn't feel...safe anymore to share art online. For me personally one of the big things I get excited about drawing is fanart for things I love and sharing that with other people who also love those things. I was drawing lots of things for a fandom several months ago and kept encountering more and more AI images in the fandom, which was making me uncomfortable but I did my best to ignore it. But then I started encountering other people's art that was edited with AI to make it "better" and then had *MY own art* edited by AI. It feels so shitty and insulting to realize the people you've been sharing your art with and doing FREE requests for would disrespect you in that way and don't care at all about where the content is coming from as long as there's constantly more of it. I basically completely dropped out of that fandom and have barely drawn since. It just feels so disheartening to make things that I feel like I can't share anymore because if I do they'll be taken from me and twisted and used to train this crap. I don't have any irl friends, so the whole thing has left me feeling isolated and lonely. I'm not really sure what to do regarding art anymore...

You are so right, this may be the biggest issue with the whole thing. I know it sucks and I hate that people are dealing with this!! (I think it may be easy for me to talk about keeping a good mindset, because I honestly can’t see my art getting ripped off!) It is sad that some people just don’t care if it’s AI or not. I guess my thinking is, to heck with those people, let’s try to find the ones who *do* care….but then again, easier said than done. I heard of a program called Glaze that is supposed to make it difficult for AI to be trained on your art, but I know very little about it (though I think I need to find out now.) I know it’s not a solution to the root of the problem, though. AI and art community/appreciation are things I want to keep thinking about and hopefully find some solutions to. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your comment and sharing your experience. Thank you! ❤️

@@leannedeluxGlaze is something that I've been following, but I keep seeing conflicting things about it. It's hard to tell how much of the negatives are people fear mongering and how much of the positives are people being overly optimistic though. I do know that my computer is unfortunately not powerful enough to run Glaze on it's own, I haven't been able to try the web version yet. I think the most ideal solution would be to find a small art group irl to share things in person with, but that's *a lot* easier said than done unfortunately. Thank you for talking about it though, every artist I see that is openly against this stuff makes me feel a little better.

Interesting, that "rewild" your imagination video, and he has some good ideas.
I don't know that I do it with art, particularly, but with music I look for things outside of my normal sphere as a regular thing. I read about my favorite artists and who influenced them and look those influences up, look up who my friends are listening to, look music recommended to me by the streaming platform's suggestion algorithm., etc. All of this has led me to some pretty odd musical neighborhoods, but that is the fun of it.
As to AI "art," I wish there was some way to force it to be labeled as such, so we can just zip right past it and go to the human stuff. I agree, we need to support each other. We need each other. Just not sure how to do that without more AI infiltration and copying because artists and art groups would become a hub for AI to feed off of (not sure if I am making sense here, or not).
As always, thank you for a thought provoking video.

You are absolutely asking sense!! I agree, if only it would be labeled. I feel like a lot of problems surrounding AI goes back to not being able to legislate morality, though. I honestly think one day, people will get sick of it (I hope, anyway), but who knows when that day will get here! And….I love how you look for new music! I think that is a fantastic idea!!

@@leannedelux I think it is less legislating morality than the destruction of intellectual property rights and the court ruling that we have no right to the expectation of privacy on the web. Both of those still in place AND enforced would go a long way to crimping the rampant Ai thang of today

Just watched the other Parker video, and I think he says what I was trying to express last night. We need to get offline and make connections in person. The web is great, it brings me things I might otherwise never have known about because they are not in my geographical area, but it has its drawbacks, as well. It is a fine balance between the two,.

    • @leannedelux

Yes! I know so many struggle with the in-person connections (the geographic thing often being a major factor) but if you can find that, it is a huge deal. 💖

    You're valued 🔥🎨
Interesting that people accuse artists of making AI art...i just took a look at adobe products the other day and they were advertising all these AI features integrated in the applications to "streamline" the process and such. 🤔 Not sure how far that will end up going and blurring that line.

Ahhh thank you!! (I value you, tooo!) ❤️ Yeah, I am having a tough time even developing an opinion about those kinds of tools, like you said, because it seems they’re really blurring the lines….(not that I need an opinion about *eVeRyThiNg*….) 😆
