I just love that Michael Palin can say he was in a woman's closet because he was trying to find an adze . . . and you find yourself believing him. (also, Cleese's continuous laughter during the adze anecdote is just beautiful) Ohhhhhhh my gosh, John hiding in the hotel room is the best thing ever.
Since basically all my thoughts have been pointed out by now, I just want to mention that Terry Gilliam is wearing a Tintin shirt, and it looks handmade and awesome.
Terry Jones was so right at 2:33. God said love thy neighbour but people have been killing each other for 2000 years because they can't decide how he said it
Imagine that: In Germany "Quest for the Holy Grail" was called "Die Ritter der Kokosnuss" which I am sure most of the people reading this will understand. One of the better translations of a movie titles into my language.
To "weikko79", "cuckoo61" and "OfTheWillows" : You can enjoy the sketches included in the "Live At Aspen" DVD at the Pythons' RUclips channel. They are all there. I don't want to violate their copyrights more than I have done already. I hope you are mature enough to understand what I'm talking about here!
the man's name is Richard Klein and at the time, he was a popular comedian, and he doesn't laugh simply because he truly understands the work of these gents. I agree his tie sucks.
I think that was the point, so that you focus on the Python's instead of the presenter. Sometime presenters try too hard to become their pals and they take almost as much space as the people they interview.
When talking about the Grail, howcome Americans always mention the bit with the Black Knight right away? I noticed it in hundreds (well, tens) of both people off the telly and real-life acquaintances, is the "carry on while making light of the peril" attitude this absent from American humour, or is it something else?
@2:31-2:49 "There was nothing funny about what Christ said. What's funny, really, is the fact that Christ said all these really good things about love thy neighbor and everything, and then for the next 2,000 years, people are killing each other, _torturing_ each other, because they can't quite decide _how_ He said it!" ~ Terry Jones
How can a TV station possibly choose such a presenter for a show with Monty Python? He lacks all sense of humour. He does not react to their jokes and stories. And his tie is hideous.
"I don't like SPAM!" lol
Classic
I LOVE how Cleese had the heartiest laugh at Palin's mischief-making in Ms. Cleveland's closet. Ah, "wood".
LMAO. "I'm awfully sorry Michael, but I have to go now.." - O_O
3:20 This sketch is ahead of its time

Michael going on while John cracks up... XD
I love Monty Python! I love these guys!

I love John Cleese's laugh.
Blessed are the Cheese Makers.
Yes,the fantastic Pythons - but whoever had the idea of bringing Eddie - their bastard son - into part one, is keeping the humour alive.Thanks.

johns eyes at 7:39 XD a vision of the eyes mike had when john was hiding in his room XD
just to clear things up. when they said they was filming in Jersey they meant the island of Jersey, not New Jersey that only has 350yrs of history.
Its great these guys can still crack each other up

@sceicsette "I wasn't hiding. I'd gone...I'd gone to fetch something. I'd left an adze in there..."
AHahahaha! John spied on Michael!
If I did, there would be ...14 instead of 4 parts, my friend. Besides, the clips included in the original video are known to all Python fans.

You need to include the clips as well
What is up with the fades in these videos? lol
I recall watching this whole thing on HBO *I believe* back in the day without the edits/fades.
Which is perfect. The show is THEM, not the presenter.
yes it is
Mr Equator!

@HogwartsCastle Was your browser I'm assuming...CTRL-ALT-DEL & then "restore" browser & you should be fine.

@fallenleaf21 : I agree 100%.
Could someone tell me what is saying Palin at 6:00? I can't understand the story. Please.

is the interviewer/ host Ron White?
What's wrong with 14 instead of 4 parts?
They kick over Graham Chapman !
oh yes it is, it is hideous ;)

So you'd rather have some guy who thinks he is funny and tries tto riff with the Pythons? That sounds pretty awful.
