That's an old iMac with a DVD/CD-ROM player. Those aren't made anymore. It could be refurbished (cheap) but it's very old for sure. The floors and amenities look nice but it looks like a single occupant unit divided by 4 = poor people can live there uncomfortably. The neighborhood may be crap, so the rent might be super cheap. The outdoor walkup vs. having an elevator means it's likely priced down. There are many factors that we don't know. And yes, "poor" is relative but he's in N. America.
