Another fact: those bullets were initially used to deal with large wild threats like lions and other big cats, until the fallschirmjäger realised that there were barely such things in north Africa.
Another fact: The m38 drilling as not a standard issue weapon, it was a gift from Hermon Goering to many of his closest friends in the Luftwaffe. So anyone that was carrying one, did it of their own accord and not based on military requirements.
Another fun fact about M30: it was a pretty luxurious gun, cool walnut stock and all, and the underside barrel was basically a large game rifle (not like elefants and tigers large, but it would shot a deer dead on the spot). Some people say it was less a proper survival gun and more a cool toy for pampered pilots (Goering was known to order luxury stuff for his dudes in aviation, just for friendship's sake.)

The aiming probably feels weird in 2042 because it’s been glitched ever since launch. When adjusting your aim for recoil there’s weird delays that occur that can throw your aim off. Enders made a video showcasing this, and this issue only exists in BF2042.

He also says he didn't bother to find the right sensitivity for himself because he's lazy, so there's that. At least he finally figured out he was losing gunfights because in those instances he was missing 75% of his shots, lol.

All of the carbine/extended versions of pistols in BF1 were pretty decent lmao. I remember running those on support later on in the game's life cycle and I remember having fun and doing good C96 carbine, M1911 extended, MLE 1903 extended, c93 carbine, P08 Artillerie. they were all pretty decent, and most of all satsifying to use The only weapon that absolutely sucked among those carbine-type weapons was the Pieper M1983.
For battlefield 2042, I personally recommend you have used the MP28, M44, Super 500, BFP .50, VCAR and the GVT 45-70. The reason is because of how these weapons would fit the purpose of a survival weapon. For the MP28 and VCAR, they’re pistol-caliber carbines that wouldn’t really be adopted by a military. For the M44 and BFP .50, they are high-caliber handguns that would be used for defense against bears and similar animals. The Super 500 is based off the Serbu super shorty, which is a 12-gauge shotgun/handgun designed to be compact/concealable, which would fit the requirements for a survival gun. And the 45-70, it’s a lever-action rifle that would be used for survival/hunting purposes. I don’t remember much about Battlefield 4, but I do know that there is a .44 magnum revolver and a Serbu Super Shorty which could work.

In BF4 you can choose Mare's Leg as your primary i believe. That would be more in the same category as drilling thang kitted out PDW's. This or crossbow or bow (if i remember correctly there were some). Or some un-scoped scout rifle
The sidearm primaries are really fucking fun to use in BF1! Also in BF3 i would do a "Black Hawk Down survival loadout" where i would use the MP5K with the 20 rnd mag and spawn in a chopper. Never did that again because i got absolutely rekt because i could kill one or maybe two enemies and die. And a fun fact to end the comment: The CBJ-MS is sometimes used as a Light support weapon irl, with a bi-pod, the ammo can penetrator body armour with ease and can penetrate 9mm of steel at almost 400 meters.
