    From these highlights he actually looks like a top 5 back.

      John Doe People forget about the browns rookie year. HE fell off after that but his rookie year was actually good

      Slimkidd730 The colts were shady to Trent and didn't use him well and he had a weight problem.He lost weight since off season started and supposedly regained his speed

      Yeah, we'll see. It took Demarco Murray like 3 years to finally reach his potential. Richardson still has the talent. He didn't fit the colts. They have a finesse o-line.

      +John Doe Most of these plays come from underneath/release routs out of the backfield to get him into open space. His problem was getting past the front line of defenders straight out of the backfield.

    • @TheKofikingston1fan
      @TheKofikingston1fan 9 лет назад +1

      He has good receiving stats and his rushing average isn't relevant since they played him to get tough yards. I hope he will get his shot with the Raiders even if there is Murray up there.

    • @8MoneyIzmyMission8
      @8MoneyIzmyMission8 9 лет назад +4

      Even though i hate Bama, I always liked Trent. With that said, he has been booty as an NFL RB. How can your career rush average be 3.3, and you have over 600 carries?
      He's a 3rd down RB or a FB with hands. Good highlights though.

    • @toxickilla1oh1
      @toxickilla1oh1 9 лет назад

      Chabanitor To get tough yards? He was an every down back. Didn't matter if it was handed on 1st and 10 or 3rd and 1. But I agree, I hope he does finally do good in the nfl

    • @Elthenar
      @Elthenar 9 лет назад +1

      8MoneyIzmyMission8 Take a look at this. This guy is of the opinion that TR suffered from some horrendous blocking and that is was only his raw ability that let him get even 3.3 YPC
      www.battleredblog.com/2014/7/8/5879983/the-film-room-trent-richardson-is-a-beast
      TR should sign with Dallas for 1 year at the minimum. If he IS as good as this guy thinks, he would wreck things behind that line. The RB's that would be in front of him are all known to be injury prone.

    • @8MoneyIzmyMission8
      @8MoneyIzmyMission8 9 лет назад

      Elthenar Nah. Richardson just has zero vision. In high school he was bigger, stronger, and faster than everybody else. In college he ran behind a ridiculous OL that also never got called for holding during his time there (WTF?). When you get to the NFL, if you don't have good vision, you won't succeed.
      Bama fans will tell you the same that he had no vision at Bama.

    Man it still boggles my head as to what happened to Trent Richardson. He was an absolute animal in college, he had so much potential, and was so good everywhere. He was freakishly strong, and had 4.4 speed. It's a shame that his career just went so downhill.

    • @rj0883
      @rj0883 8 лет назад +5

      +Hank Hill Sounds like you followed him in college and he looks like damn good running back in these highlights. Do you think he lost motivation after getting traded and being cut? Could he revive his game in Baltimore behind a good offensive line and where they really like to run the ball?

    • @TTSupraKidd
      @TTSupraKidd 8 лет назад +5

      rj0883 I'm an Alabama fan so I've followed basically his whole career. He was a fantastic college back, he was extremely well rounded. I saw an article that said he had gotten lazy in the NFL, because at Alabama they make sure you're doing everything you're supposed to, but in the NFL you're on your own. He said his focus wasn't as much on football as it needed to be, he even started lending money to people, even for Disneyland at one point, and he said they still had the nerve to complain. He said he's gotten those people out of his life and that things will be much different now. As a big fan of his going back since his college days, I really hope he turns his career around.

    • @rj0883
      @rj0883 8 лет назад

      +Hank Hill He has an un-official agreement with the Ravens and when I first heard about it, I was kinda "meh" about him. But when I saw his college highlights and rookie, I wasn't sure how dropped off so badly. He now sounds humbled and has dropped a lot of weight to where he was in highschool which is incredible. Ravens need a 3rd down back he could fill that role and him being able to catch the ball is a plus in Mark Trestman's offense.
      I have some hope for him and a couple of journey men like Ricky Williams who fell off like him but was productive and as of recent, long time journey man Justin Forsett, who is the current lead back for the Ravens. We'll see if Richardson can at least be productive. I have faith in the Ravens offensive line, so If Trent makes the roster, I might sneak him on one of my fantasy draft teams lol

    • @TTSupraKidd
      @TTSupraKidd 8 лет назад +1

      rj0883 Yeah I'm hoping he'll be productive. Who knows, he may even become a force in the running game. One of his weaknesses I've heard is his vision. If he can improve that, he has all of the other assets to be a good back.

    • @rj0883
      @rj0883 8 лет назад +1

      Hank Hill
      Vision is one thing, but instinct is another. I saw him react to players that were behind him and it looked like he knew where they were. The biggest difference I saw between college/rookie years and pro days was him hesitating. Granted, there are better, bigger, stronger and faster players in the NFL but a block is a block. If he can drive into the hole and keeps kicking his feet like i saw in his highlights, he can revive his NFL career. If he hesitates behind the line, he'll forever be known as a bust. Hoping the coaching staff will help him with his technique though.

    never truly realized how bad the Browns we’re until watching this. their linemen hit Trent more than their rivals

    i remember him being a bust but he looks really good on these plays? did he just always have a terrible o-line or something?

    y'all wild... y'all coming at Trent like he's not a good running back at all, in my opinion he's just underrated teams just don't know how to use him that's all... all in all don't sleep on Trent

    people forget what he was before he went to colts. great for alabama and ok for the browns. The reason why the colts gave up a first round pick for him and there reason he was taken 3rd overall. at worst I believe the raiders could be getting solid redzone back that spells latavius Murray. However at best he can be star player for the raiders.

    He has all the football mechanics down. He just has to stop wanting to run everyone over and find better holes. I know he still has it in him to play he just has to increase his football IQ.

    The only hope he has is Belichick picking him up, sprinkling pixie dust, and saving his career.

    • @hl2583

      he really isn't that bad, but he has never had a o line or a successful team...he just needs more than just himself and his skills to be better..

      Kevin Martin He certainly looks like he's got it all here-Speed, power, quick feet, acceleration, soft hands. He was too hesitant from what I recall, didn't seem to know where to run out and gained nothing too often.

    He's making decent plays but he needs to get back his legendary speed and strength that made him stand out. Too many defensive players running him down.

    The Browns could've had Peyton Hillis & Trent Richardson as two powerhouse RBs :) Trent is not really a downhill RB, he's actually more a 3rd down pass and run guy. He does well with one - one match ups in the open field because he's too elusive for LB and too strong for DBs.
