Hi, I have watched a number of your videos as I am working from home during lockdown, I live in the UK. I have found most of the videos so relaxing to watch, I have enjoyed the walking and driving tours around the different neighbourhoods and I have used these videos as research into a trip I am hoping to do around California once it is safe to travel. I haven't visited in 15 years, so due a visit. Thanks again.
The video is over 40 min, was shot on a highway under very light traffic (due to COVID), and still it shows only a fraction of the total build-up area. This goes to show you how a behemont of a city LA's MSA. No surprise that it's the 6th largest build-up area in the world, per Demographia.
After 25:00 you get to where the on-ramps are short and off-ramps are very slow and tight. With normal traffic flying down this freeway at 60-80 mph, you must signal early and slow way down to turn off the freeway, and you basically have to floor it to get on the freeway. Regular drivers of this section know to stay out of the right lane unless their exit is coming up, but not everyone does this.
Well folks... Los Angeles is a true urban sprawl/suburbia. It's not high density or vertical like other cities. It's a geographical spread of coastal beaches, inland valleys, mountain ranges, desert flats, and short prairies. With different stratas. Beach communities, valley culture, desert rats, urban ghetto, to mountain culture. The culture diaspora could be very expansive. You really can't stereotype an angelino. If you ever see an emergency in LA. (ie.. forest fires, earthquake, mudslide, police chase, protests, ect. It really doesn't effect everyone in Los Angeles. It could be 1 hour away driving. I hate it when others see T.V. or movies and apply fiction to Los Angeles.
When I came down to Palm Springs for the first time I thought it was gonna be this magical place and we also went to visit LA and I had huge expectations for it too but when I went I realized it was just kind of another city but definitely cool. It was awesome going to the beach and going shopping but I just had my eyes opened to not stereotype LA like I’d used to.
Sydney now getting like LA, also spread out in one of the largest geographical basins in the world. When ever I drive to Sydney I jokingly call it Sydangeles, however they have got many long tunnels which is quite impressive
It never ceases to amaze me how the freeways are so jacked up in California with so much wealth and high taxes. When I went to Florida I noticed right away how much nicer their freeways are. This despite the fact that Florida has no state income tax, lower sales tax, lower property taxes revenue, rains all the time and hurricanes.
... ... ...thier is the olde pasadena frwy(ave 45/46) where i lived(mount washington), highland park; as you look too your right, you will see conrete, that is the los angelas river, many many times, before the gold line too pasadena, i walked that river; all the way too the rose bowl, wrigly mansion, the vons on california st., "lucky boy", the best hamburger and fry, onion ring; in los angelas, on aroyo secco blvd. love Brother brent! who lived on those streets for years!!!
One of my favorite freeways in Los Angeles (when not congested) to drive. Really shines in 4K with no traffic. What do you use to record and how do you mount it?
Great! Great! Great! Thanks for sharing it with us dude! Two requests, if I may: Could you shot one video from Disneyland to downtown via Interstate 5 and the other one from some point on US 105 through Judge Harry Pregerson Interchange, then US 110, Downtown and Pasadena? I could kiss you for this!! hahaha. But I will understand if you think I'm asking too much. Anyway, thank you in advance and thank you for your lovely videos.
Wow love Los Angeles California it’s so great and with the metro population of 18,850,000 million people in La and the city of Los Angeles with 3,900,000 million people closer to 4 million people the city alone
All the way down Colorado I kept my eyes open for a little old lady in a red super stock Dodge but...............nope. I'm starting to think that Jan and Dean made all that up :D.
Day’um! Where is everybody? I know these streets very well. I lived and worked in these parts for years and years. My office was in the Union Bank tower and my apartment was right near the freeway in So. Pas. So I made this drive more times than I can count. But... seriously, where IS everyone? It must have been on a weekend when this VDO was recorded. Everything looks super empty. Thanks for sharing this. (I’m writing this from my current home on a small island off the south coast of Cape Cod where I am waiting out the COVID quarantine before I depart for my next home on the island of Java... that’s right, my next move is going to be 16,000km to the tropics. Anyway, thanks again for this visit to SoCal.)
Anson right now I got a few years ahead of me I want to be a real estate agent and I love Los Angeles I’ve never been there but I know that that’s where I’m moving to actually went to Los Angeles I think once and I love you oh my God Los Angeles is so beautiful and moving there and WHEN I HROW UP

How much do you spend on gas doing this?🤣

110 freeway from Downtown Los Angeles to Pasadena is the first freeway and oldest in the United States built 1920s
And they where built to keep from streets getting traffic jams and look at us now! Both the streets and the freeways are jammed! Lol
Thank you so much
I wish the freeways in LA was always like this.
Really enjoyed this! What an epic cruise! No traffic in Pasadena, so unusual (virus).
How about now?
Wow!! I really did like Pasadena, clean and peaceful area in California, this the first time I discovered that.
Love from Morocco 🇲🇦 👌
Bless you!!!
Thanks for watching!
wow. Los Angeles is so beautiful

🍎 The highways and roadways around LA are kind of crazy. There are so many overpasses in this one it reminds me of CHiPs from the 80s. - Henry

i was amazed you made it to downtown within 20 minutes...
then i realized this was filmed during the early stages of the pandemic lol
110Fwyは大好きなルートです、ロスに居た頃は毎日のように走ってました、青春時代の良き思い出は懐かしい。
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Not knowing your country, before each of your videos, I look on a map to get an idea of your journey. That's great. :-))
When I was in LA at 2019, the bus always drive from 405 freeway to 110 free way,(From UCLA To Haward West Lake middle school)
i got my first job in pasadena. I used to drive 110 to work everyday.

Suburbias and urban sprawls like LA aren't a good thing. It's too spread out.
Sydney now getting like LA, also spread out in one of the largest geographical basins in the world. When ever I drive to Sydney I jokingly call it Sydangeles, however they have got many long tunnels which is quite impressive
As always, the videos you upload are just wonderful!
Thank you. I need to drive this way

this is very good video🤗 thank you soo much😄 i like losangels😄 いつも本当にありがとうごさいます😆✨
Did you film this on a holiday or during the start of quarantine? My 40 years of living here, I've never seen the 110 clear like that. Nice video btw
I once ordered and devoured a Bacon Cheeseburger at the Lucky Boy @32:01 in Pasadena, CA. True story.. best burger! 🍔
18:40 wow.
Thank you very much for this video. The video is running at normal speed, but it looks like the car's speed is very high. why?
Did you see the fire on the above bridge on the 110 freeway
lucky are those who stay in united states amazing drive and video
Tint city starts at 16:35 same time as the smoke appears 😬😬
Great vid thanks
great!!! thank you
Excelent! What's the smoke as of 16:30? Thanks!
Might be a car accident
🤟👍🙌😄Merci Denis...
This traffic looks like disney land compared to Chicago's
No smog in LA clean air.
Good evening bro
Thank you!👍

That is scary looks like all of Hollywood and La turned into a ghost town it's the same here in Klamath Falls Oregon turned into a ghost town
nice video
시원하다~~~!
I remember those days.
Amazing.......... Love you
Why no people? what time was it?
Great car sound !
Is it a v8 mustang?
I hate driving in Los Angeles. If I missed my exit on the freeway I would probably never be seen or heard from again.
Cool😎😎😎😎😎
LA is big
16:46 oh my!!
14:33 What is the car?
Prowler ,chrysler if i'm not mistaken
Is the California 110 an actual freeway because doesn't continue pass beyond Pasadena, it's more like a glorified express way?
what car are you driving?
Why is fire
What is the avg speed people go on the U.S freeways.....
Depends what time it is, in the might it is just the speed limit but during rush hour it is about 5mph
Highways are so empty now a days
So is lane hogging acceptable there? Also undertaking? Just wondering because as a Brit, doing both of those would land you a fine if caught here.
The 110 is tricky because the right lane frequently ends in a VERY short off ramp, so it's considered okay to stay in the middle lane. Not sure about "undertaking." Usually the traffic is much worse so you don't have a lot of options.
i am only see this things in GTA V lol
This is a lovely video. But this is fantisey. Youll never see this ever again until we break out again. or a depression.
Errybody's going much faster than you- cops don't want to stop you and get in your grill, I guess.
16:47 What looks like a fire in a homeless camp?
Downtown to LAX🙏🙏
AleluYAH
Should be gridlocked
20:32 best part entering downtown
Way to fast
Worst signage imaginable
Nah. Certainly a lot better than some of the road signage I've seen in some parts in Mexico. Over there the trees sometimes block the important signs so you can very easily miss your exit...
Thanks for the ride. Appreciate it.
