The easiest way is to put a thin credit card between the mirror cap and the housing, slowly pushing it in (I found out the easiest way is to start from the outside and slowly going to the center). After it's about 2 cm deep all you do is pull it up with force and the cap will just pop off.
Tipp: Die Spiegel vorher ganz nach innen stellen, dann kann man die Gläser mit den Händen herausziehen. Tip: put the mirrors all the way in before, then you can pull out the glasses with your hands.
Sorry to be so off topic but does any of you know a way to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost the login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
My mirror doesn't close anymore when I lock my car. What could it be? I think the little motor still works because I ear some noise but I think something is blocking it... do I have access to it if I dissassemble mirror like you did or do I have to dissassemble anything else? Thank you

Is it works to Audi q3 as well ?
Can someone tell me the size and length of the bolt in the centre that keeps the motor in?
Once you get to the led signal, how easy will be to replace that? Have you done before? Thanks
Bogdan Cantemir the hardest part is to remove the cover the signal led is easy To remove
Is the glass mirror clipped in? Or is it glued to any adhesive?
+Royal Gabe The mirror have clips, be very careful because it is very thin and fragile and will break immediately
you don't need to that you can take it of from outside just pull it.
This îs the right way if you don't want to brake the Clips
I understand what you are saying but I did it taking it from outside and I didn’t brake anything. Try it ;)
Matt: I'm going to try it your way, I'd rather brake the clips than brake the glass. Can you just use your hands, or should you use the plastic tool?
I did it with my hands.

Is this same for q7 2017 model?
