  • All of the different pieces can feel overwhelming, if you view them exclusively as separate elements. But if you understand that they’re merely parts of a greater whole, you can be empowered by recognizing the natural connections 🙏🏽😌

My classical teacher kept telling me "you have to sit with it and practice consciously, watch your body and figure it out." In other words it takes experimentation. I would get overwhelmed and several years after i quit...I had to go back to exercising on my own to prepare for potential gigs and I found out something. After watching one of your shorts, you explained the ribcage expansion. Something I had completely missed, paying attention too. I played with it a little bit and saw a huge difference on how much control and support it gave the phrases I had to sing.

This is beautiful, so vocal teachers are also healers :) and it all ties jn. Iyengar Yoga points at sound really strongly if one can listen in to the seniormost teachers... sound is so important. It distorts or creates our world. So freeing up the tools we were born with is such an important step in knowing ourselves... i wonder how you may bring in the physical subsgance of the body into this... that would bring inroads into nutrition the ayurvedic way, thinking if the texture of the body with regard to the elements and tweakinv them witb lifestyle and diet would become possible.... do any of your students have this approach to healing themselves. My study of my singing voice is incomplete, but an approachvthat is wholistic this way would be gratifying. There is already published research abiut the use of vocal biomarkers for health predictions.... the better use if this information for humanity would be to further study the improvement and rate of it as well of all organs and systems with the use of vocal and breathe modulation.
This is a valuable post. Thank you

Anybody that says something like there's too much technique it's not obsessed. 😅
