This video presents the teory about Hall effect.
The Hall efect is a phenomenon, that was discovered by an American physicist, Edwin Hall, in 1879.
The Hall effect,it led to the development of new technologies for measuring magnetic fields and for the study of the properties of materials. The Hall effect is now widely used in many applications, including the design of magnetic field sensors, rotary position sensors and also in Hall-effect thrusters used in satellite propulsion systems.

Utilicé Inkscape para los dibujos, pero para hacer la animación, la hice con PowerPoint. Puedes copiar y pegar entre los dos programas. Es bastante trabajoso hacer la animación en PowerPoint, pero es posible.

You can check the manufacturer datasheet of the sensor for example the model 49E, línear hall effect sensor. There is a Electromagnetic Characteristic sensititvity where the unit is mV/mT, so you can measure the output and convert.
Is it necessary to use rectangular sample material??
The shape doesn't matter but the voltage need to be perpendicular to the current
