Bets video EVER!!! I struggled to find a guided video that showed what and how to have it organized in a way that not only Made sense, but was practical in saving time in the long run and compartmentalizing best for space. You have no long how I have looked for the specific easy full explanation and visual to follow and understand. God bless you! Lol I’ve been going crazy trying to figure this out best, and everything video wise I have seen, has not been very organized in my opinion to easily have access, visually be able to have ease to see and get to, and made things flow. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 I know this is a year old video, do u think that Michael’s would still consistently have this one sale? I am so grateful to see on their side that it is available, a year later, but the “sale” it is showing is $20.00 and it says it’s normally $40.00 plus oof 😣. So idk after a year of that’s as good as it will get in sale. I need two cases minimum to start.

Thanks so much! I'm so glad that my video has helped you with your washi tape storage. lol ... can you tell that I'm obsessed with Washi tape! I only have one of the Washi tape boxes that I shared in this video. I keep most of my washi tape in Alex drawers from Ikea because I like to have it close by and easy to access.
So, I haven't really kept track of when Michael's has these on sale. If you would have asked me this question last year in February, I would have said "Yes". However, after the past year with all of the changes brought by the pandemic, I would say that "I really don't know". The price of everything has been going up and I would say that if you can get this at 50% off, you may want to get it if it's something you really want. It's possible that the 50% off storage could go away if things continue to be locked down and the stores are not able to get in products. I would never have thought a year ago, that the craft stores like Michael's, Hobby Lobby and Jo-Ann's would stop having 40% and 50% coupons, but that's what we are all seeing now.
Good luck with your washi storage and organization.
      Karen 🤗

@@YesPleasePapercrafts thank you Karen, I ended up thinking along those same lines and did just that. The only store open was a drive for us to get to that had it, and then everything closed and we are snowed in now. So I am glad I ended up buying 3, especially after seeing your response. Thank you again for all your help and your thoroughness of the videos. I love. Washi tape too. It’s so easy to get addicted to so many fun and beautiful prints. 😅😁👍🏻

At first, I kind of thought the idea of storing by collections and labeling it as such as overkill until you mentioned being able to match papers and such in the collection. Now I think it is a GREAT idea and makes so much sense! I like to keep my paper collections together even though Totally Tiffany doesn't really recommend it. I'm a rebel!
I also love the idea of your cataloging the washi in an old planner. I happen to have one in my desk drawer. Off to watch more of your videos.

Hi Tammy ... thanks for taking the time to leave me a comment. lol ... funny that you should say that storing all that paper by collections was overkill because I was actually thinking that I wanted to change it up. I'm working on another video on the flip paper storage and I've been thinking about what's working and what's not working. And, having all of that paper by manufacturer and collection is not working for me. I do love having paper by manufacturer and collection but I don't have embellishments or anything that go with a lot of the paper that I have stored that way in the flip bins. so, I'm actually in the process of organizing some of the paper from the flip bins and putting it into other categories. I'm still going to keep paper by collection if I have stickers, chipboard and other embellishments for that collection. I always used to think I had to store everything in a category (like paper) in the same way and in the same place to be organized but after watching Totally Tiffany and RTS Scrapbooking, I'm learning that it's ok to have things stored differently in different places in my craft room. :)

So awesome on so many levels friend, and for $13, that is a GREAT bargain. You know I am completely digging that you re-used a Happy Planner for your washi inventory. Sign me up! Loved every second of your video- thanks for sharing. You should seriously take your organizing skills on the road. Wowzers! Hugs!

Thanks Janet ... I love organizing things and it just makes me happy whenever I get something in order. Wouldn't that be fun to go on a road trip and visit crafters across the country to help them with their craft room organization??? If I was younger, I would love to have become a professional organizer. I really love that RUclips is giving me the opportunity to share my love of organization with people from all over the world. And, I'm so grateful for all of you that watch my videos because it is giving me so much motivation to get things accomplished in my space. There's more to come ... lol .... I have so many more things to organize !!! Hugs my friend !!!

Sorry I missed your question and I'm so late with answering. I just found out that I could filter all of the youtube comments and just see the comments with questions.
I don't really have a particular place that I shop for washi. Most of my washi was purchased around 2017 to 2020 from Michael's and Hobby Lobby in the big tubes ... they had them on sale really cheap all the time so it was hard to resist not buying them every time I went shopping there. I did also purchase a from Ali Express and Freckled Fawn back then. I wouldn't recommend Ali Express ... it's the only washi that went bad from all the washi that I have and it's gummy and won't come off the roll. Freckled Fawn has some of the most awesome washi tape and I love their $1 washi sales. I also have purchased from Simple Stories, Echo Park, Scrapbook.com, and other scrapbooking stores for washi tape that coordinates with collections. Hope this helps. 😁

I love these trays! I have them in my raskog cart. Two fit side by side and then I have them stacked! I also use the trays to contain my 6x6 paper pads. Plus I use them to keep my enamel dots in lol. I get them on sale and use these trays for everything! u can keep the cases to tore them in but I use the cases to hold other things.

Thanks Rhonda ... Those are some awesome ideas on how to use the trays from this Washi Storage Case ... I'll have to try out some other things in my craft room in these trays !!! lol ... now my mind is spinning with ideas on things to try ... I'm going to be having some fun with trying to see what fits.

Another great idea! I really appreciate your tip to begin when there's only a few washi tapes...
I have bought a few washis with collections from TM. I hadn't thought about organizations because I figured there's so few. But, I can see how it will probably grow..lol
I haven't bought much at Michael's due to prices. When do they usually put storage items on 70%? Id be thrilled with 60% ...even 50%..
If you can give general idea Id appreciate it as I have to drive quite a distance. Oh yeah, my Michael's is smaller one Im guessing because I haven't seen alot of other items or paper pads shown on others RUclips videos..
    Thank you again for help!
I'll watch more tomorrow. I watch on my tv but have to get on my phone to leave comments or "like". Im sure there's a way..i don't know how tho..
    Keep up great organizational help!
    Nancy

I'm guessing you have a smart phone because you are watching RUclips on it. I would recommend installing the Michaels, Hobby Lobby, JoAnn and AC Moore apps on your phone. You can see the Weekly Ads and also get coupons right from your phone. A lot of times, these stores will send "digital only" coupons to the phone apps that are not available anywhere else. I recently got a 80% off stickers coupon from JoAnns and that was a lot of fun picking out stickers knowing that even the expensive ones (like Thickers) were only about $1. Michael's usually puts their organization/storage items on sale for 60% off a couple of times a year. They will also have a 50% off all organization/storage and then offer a 20% off your entire purchase including sales items (usually happens in the middle of the week on Wednesday). They will also have hot buy or leader items for 70% off like the washi storage case ... you never know when this will happen unless you watch the weekly ads. And, Michaels will also have a 60% all Recollections stickers and washi coupon on the phone app.
You can also get a paper flyer in the mail if you sign up for that on Michaels.com. Did you know that Michaels gives people 55+ a senior 10% off discount on every purchase (but you have to ask for it)? If you are a teacher, Michaels gives 15+ off (but not sure if that works if you are retired). Also, you can use competitor coupons (Hobby Lobby, JoAnn and AC Moore) at Michaels (even if you don't have these stores in your area). I use AC Moore (60% off one item) and JoAnn (25% off entire purchase) at Michaels all the time, because these coupons are better than the ones that Michael's gives us. You can use all your Michael's coupons, plus the Senior Discount, plus one competitor coupon in a single transaction at Michaels.

@@YesPleasePapercrafts thanks! I will put these on my phone. I'm in a small town in Texas so have to drive to a city to shop at these stores. I hear and see items from AC Moore on videos but I guess they are mainly in Northern states..
      Thanks for ur help,
      Nancy

I don’t think our Michaels has this storage .

    • @YesPleasePapercrafts
      @YesPleasePapercrafts  5 лет назад

Hi Melodee … If you can't find it in your Michaels, they do have it available online. But you may want to ask someone at your store if they have it and ask them to help you find it because sometimes they put the storage items in different places in the store. I know that I have a hard time finding things sometimes and in my store they put storage items in 3 or 4 different places and they keep moving everything around so it's hard to know where to look sometimes.
