Michelle also wanted to mention that using her cheap scale, she's shot a 194-6X on a regulation 600yd F-class target slung up with her AR which is no easy feat.
Michelle, you are truly an inspiration to any shooter but new shooters (me) in particular. Your approach is at its best, extremely pragmatic. In a world saturated by toys you managed to get a lot done with the most basic of tools (the Scott System not withstanding). You have won a fan in me! Good luck to you!
It just goes to show you that you can reload and have great performance with the basic tools!!! What a great story. Michelle you are an inspiration to all shooters young and old! Thanks for doing the interview. I love taking my daughter out shooting (and most times she beats me with 22 lr haha...)
I really love this video. It is so nice to see that someone isn't promoting all the fancy new expensive equipment to make accurate ammo. I almost use the exact same set up and my 2 rifles are very accurate. Lapua brass, Sierra, and varget. Only difference is i use an old Redding set of beams. I hope you continue to win matches and excell in your shooting!
really enjoying these videos. It's great to hear different perspectives on loading and how some people are constantly changing things and how others stick to a very simple, effective method that works. Please do more of these videos
Wow John what a nice down to earth lady and to achieve what she has in such a short time is really awesome , it takes some people a life time an don’t reach that level also such a basic reloading setup makes me think do I really need all the gadgets I have in my kit , congratulations to her and I hope she brings her goals to reality . Steve from Australia .
Great series John. I love seeing peoples setups and hearing why they do what they do. Sometimes it confirms what ive learned but more often I learn something new. Keep 'em coming!
This is a very cool subject matter, John. Thanks very much Michelle for sharing your reloading room with us. The fact that you have accomplished so much with so little says volumes of the type of shooter you are. By the way, I can relate to your powder vs wind issues on the coast. Wind isn't my problem directly as much as water is, or the movement of it. Amazing women, a lot of respect.
Very nice interview! Really enjoyed the conversation. I have no doubt that this lady will achieve her goals. She is definitely focused and that is a major step in any successful endeavor. Go girl! From an old high power, open sight, rifle slinging shooter.
Really cool stuff and a laid back lady. I’m sure she can shoot lights out. Sling shooting is more about shooting than reloading where open is about reloading. FTR is somewhere in the middle. I might even switch if I didn’t need to wear the straight jacket. Thanks for bringing these videos John. You guys are really opening up the sport.
Thank you John and Michelle. Interesting the two disciplines Michelle chose for competition. I would enjoy a look at her rifles used in these events and how she decided on parts for each build. I could learn so many skills from this lady 👍
Michelle is the definition of pragmatic. I can hear a chorus of equipment nerds/snobs crying out about that Lee scale, but it's hard to argue with successful results, way to go Michelle! Get out and shoot, regardless of the equipment you have or do not have.
I have found used in the best possible way I could find my cheap beem scale is consistent to 1/20th and my electric scale is consistent to 2/10ths if the AC is not running it's all about how you use your equipment. great idea with the scale and useing the puck's!!! I'll be using that thanks!!
Camp perry air is right now this week😂. Olympic air starts on friday in japan. Scat system is one of the most important tools we use. It tracks how the shooter comes into the target where the shot goes off snd how the shooter follows theough. It also records the shots and can be reviewed by coach and shooter like a video. It can be used for air all the way to benchresters
Of course sling shooters shoot better than say bench or Fclass...they actually hold the rifle as opposed to laying the rifle on bags, sleds and rests. Who are the better reloaders is a good question.
John, I love that you reached beyond just F-Class shooters. Shooters in general (whatever genre) need to band together to stand up to the anti-gun rhetoric pervading our country. Nice work. PS. I load on a Rock Chucker too so I particularly liked her simple set up
So, I may be misrecollecting, or misreporting, BUT - and I don't think you covered (unless I missed it...) the number of rounds/year Michelle fires. It is in the thousands - the price of excellence.
This one definitely resonated with me. I just obtained my first AR, and I had people looked at me strange that I had no intentions of going with a progressive press. I've also been getting into a lot of debates lately, as I have been advocating that there are "plenty of ways to reload, it just depends on your application and what you're going for." Seems like a weird juxtaposition, no?
I did 10m air rifle when I was in high school, and i was really a better shooter because i was shooting 50-100 pellets every day, its hard to do that level of practice with firearms and getting back to that level of discipline is als an uphill battle That said i did spoter class where she does precision, soo we did the same thing but the gun was very different, had a shoter barrel and a wood stock
Here's what she has to say "I poured some plastic resin from any hobby store on my scale. The pucks are shaped to the measuring cup diameter. I used 30ml measuring cups"
Good luck in your competitions. I have similar personal circumstances and am a member of very conservative southern club. You mentioned being banned from a range or something to that effect. what was the issue that caused this?
Thanks for the additional link. Your take on the competition issues is exactly mine. Each circumstance must be individually considered. I suppose as humans that not being able to categorize people into groups makes us nervous.
Lucas is pretty much dead on. There are some bullets that by design tend to make for a longer loaded round than can be fed through a magazine. So what you'll see if shooters who shoot both from a magazine AND single loading deepening on the discipline will use two different bullets depending on which they're going to shoot.
Michelle also wanted to mention that using her cheap scale, she's shot a 194-6X on a regulation 600yd F-class target slung up with her AR which is no easy feat.
The lee scale is actually very precise. It's only downfall is that it's not damped so is very slow to settle.
not gonna be able to look at my fx-120i the same....
This style of video with practical discussion is awesome!
Thank you. I have more lined up and they're from every level of shooter which is going to be fun.

Love this stuff! Another example that the top shooters are the most humble and down to earth people around
Very enjoyable series so far. Great that you are branching out to service rifle instead of staying only in F-Class.
Need more of these John!
Great Sieries John "Peoples reloading rooms" Enjoyed the ones so far..Keep em coming.
Thank you. I got more coming next week!
Way to go, Micelle, from another sling shooter. Great stuff John.

Dude, this series rocks! Love the format, keep them coming John.

Having just bought a Lee beam scale, that was very encouraging.
This definitely one of the best videos you’ve put up. Thank you

Get out and shoot, regardless of the equipment you have or do not have.
Great video. Thank you both for taking the time to make these videos. Very nice set up also.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you.
Great format. Thanks for this informative perspective on reloading for High Power.

Very interesting & well done Michelle - from another ‘sling’ shooter.
Love Varget. I swear that is one of the most versatile powders on the market.
Great insight John! Congratulations to Michelle!
I’ve only seen one other woman reloader. She’s out of Europe. Katerina Vikor I think is her name if I recall correctly.
It is great to see the difference between your first video to this one. How one can achieve great success with minimal gear, versus the finest gear.
This is a super cool format. looking forward to see more of this kind of stuff.
Thank you. I have more lined up and I can't wait to get them out there.
This is a very refreshing video. Great Job shooters !
all your videos are good but this is one of the better ones
Thank you, I appreciate the kind words.
Keep it up Michelle. You too John I enjoy these videos. Cheers
Thanks, will do!
Nice to see you John.
This interview was awesome awesome awesome great job and thank you 😊
Thank you John.

Thank you and I agree. I’ve got more of these planned and some will include hunters and PRS shooters too.
Love the powder puck solution for the scale zero and verification
Great video very enjoyable and informative. Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
awesome video - thanks for working on this and sharing.
My pleasure. Glad you enjoyed it.
Sling shooting true form and measure of true marksmanship.
Thank you for the knowledge
Fantastic interview. Great stuff she does. More like this. For newbies, specific requirements for service rifle, new, government issue etc?
Who is this man with the beard and why does he sound like John? 😉
😂
Great video John !
Thank you.
Awesome interview.
Thank you.
Great video throughly like the format.
Thank you. I’ll keep doing them as long as I can find people willing to share their spaces…
She's awesome.
She's great like her attitude
Why do I have this feeling that this woman is destin to be an olympic shooter?
I'll bet you any amount of money she is going places.
So, I may be misrecollecting, or misreporting, BUT - and I don't think you covered (unless I missed it...) the number of rounds/year Michelle fires. It is in the thousands - the price of excellence.
Very interesting. Lee "safety scale" lol. They work well, but I always hated the way that stupid slider is used to set the desired weight.
I'm a huge believer in the notion that there's lots of paths that we can all follow to achieve the same goal.
Any particular book recommendations Michelle?
Micelle.. I need more pellets for my 10m air rifle I'm about out of Nygord What have you found shoots best for you? And yes I shoot 1k bench as well
This is not a real F-Class John video. I can see his face. :-)
I did 10m air rifle when I was in high school, and i was really a better shooter because i was shooting 50-100 pellets every day, its hard to do that level of practice with firearms and getting back to that level of discipline is als an uphill battle

John I'd love to know what psych books Dan had her read. That's an angle I'm sure not many ppl look into. I'm willing to give that an honest effort.
Algorithm boost
Was curious on how Michelle made her custom calibration weight pucks.
Here's what she has to say "I poured some plastic resin from any hobby store on my scale. The pucks are shaped to the measuring cup diameter. I used 30ml measuring cups"
@@FClassJohn Thank you John and Michelle, its a genius idea. Gonna borrow it for my pet loads.
Michelle, what brass trimmer do you use?
I will have to respectfully disagree with loading competition ammo on a progressive press.
Either way, as long as we are shooting it's all good.
Turret press is the best of both worlds.
Why ? We used to do that with 14s.
She needs a friend to donate a torch to her for her 1000s of pcs of brass to get annealed 🤔😂
Where are yall finding primers and powder ?
In my basement. I bought tens of thousands of primers and hundreds of pounds of powder when they were cheap. The future was completely foreseeable.
Good luck in your competitions. I have similar personal circumstances and am a member of very conservative southern club. You mentioned being banned from a range or something to that effect. what was the issue that caused this?
She said you can check out this podcast to learn more anchor.fm/transitionalspace/episodes/Olympic-hopeful-Michelle-Adams-e14nf59
Thanks for the additional link. Your take on the competition issues is exactly mine. Each circumstance must be individually considered. I suppose as humans that not being able to categorize people into groups makes us nervous.
“You can’t load those mag length” what does that mean?
Lucas is pretty much dead on. There are some bullets that by design tend to make for a longer loaded round than can be fed through a magazine. So what you'll see if shooters who shoot both from a magazine AND single loading deepening on the discipline will use two different bullets depending on which they're going to shoot.
John are you shooting a 284 win or what is it exactly
Yeah I'm shooting just a straight .284win
Get this girl a 6mm creedmoor or 6 br😇
Iets his face 😱😱
Thats in a leg match.
