OMG this is as accurate as you can get with these movie toys. Seriously, he looks just like his movie version. I never thought an AOE Lockdown could be so accurate yet functional.

Probably the best looking movie figure we'll ever see. The engineering is amazing.
MPM-03 and MPM-04 with their more complex transformations and wide torsos are just trash compared to this. UT Lockdown, UT TLK Prime and TFEvo Hot Rod represent a new league of Bayverse MP figures that are real vehicles that could transform into real robots that are properly proportioned according to CGI silhouette. Slim and sleek.
While the AOE/TLK bot designs don't look like they could transform and therefore don't feasibly transform anyway, these Bayverse MPs don't look like they could transform even as a toy bot mode. Just wow. This is magic. A character design that doesn't look transformable, and a toy that doesn't look transformable, but could actually transform via wizard level engineering.
I just hope more characters could get similar treatment.
In short, we finally have tall and sleek bot modes that transform into real cars. Normal sized torsos and slim side profiles with no giant backpacks.
I kinda feel like steel jaw is just there to add on to the price tag.
David Trofimov I don't think he is there to add on to the price tag so much as to make an already amazing figure look even better. Consider how complex this transformation is and how good the paint job and sculpt is. If this was brought out by HasTak it would easily be a $210 Plus figure like mp36. But it's just barely over a $100 shipped. Hasbro sells ice Masterpiece cars that in all rights are high-end deluxe class figures and this thing as a leader class figure. I honestly don't understand how it's so cheap.
If only people thought that about some of the hasbro figures...... ( that sent that badly painted guys)

Well, that transformation is extremely unique, interesting, and actually rather nice and relatively simple, compared to what some third party toys do.
EDIT: The way the legs and torso work is simply genius, IMHO.
The term "masterpiece" has been overused by both Takara & 3rd Party companies, but not in this case. Wow!

I think this figure needs to be considered a work of art. The fact that they took Lockdown (a character with almost no visible vehicle parts in robot mode) and made an almost screen accurate version that still transforms is astonishing.
What alien race did they contact to engineer this?

I'm so happy for UT that they have found such an amazing niche. They've put themselves to the top of the pile.
I really am not bothered by Lockdown but this is so good I had to look again at this product. Ultimately, I can't afford to spend that amount of money. It's not that it's bad value, quite the opposite - comparable size and price to big MP figures. It's just that movie-verse is not really my thing and, even within the movie-verse, Lockdown is very dull.
Their upcoming Optimus, though... Never bought a TLK Optimus... might be able to justify that as a saving that allows me to buy theirs... :-)

I believe it's actually the hook he used briefly in the movie as a nod to Animated Lockdown.
I don't care for this version of the character, but wow does this toy make an excellent impression. Now I kind of want to see Unique Toys tackle AOE Drift, and maybe Crosshairs.

From looking at pictures of unique toys Optimus Prime versus alien attacks Optimus Prime I believe that alien attacks is before he pulled the sword from lockdowns ship versus unique toys after he pulled the sword and going into Transformers The Last Knight.

What makes him so tall is that his legs go on the sides of his body in car mode. Theres nothing to hinder his height or proportions.

@@galactus9807 u have to keep in mind Optimus doesn't really use much from the back of the truck. Most of the robot is the cab and Lockdown is the whole car stretched out.

because third party companies have a lot less budgetary restrictions than Hasbro does, so they can engineer their transformations differently and give us jewels like this. now, if we could get someone to make the TLK Decepticons.
Only 11 mins into the video and I feel compelled to say that this is truly stunning and the engineering is just phenominal.

Thanks for the early preview, Ben! I think the only thing more impressive than how movie accurate they made this guy while also keeping a good level of mass shifting from alt-bot mode, is that overall, his transformation actually seems pretty simple and straightforward. Sure, it's not as simple as his official deluxe version, but it's significantly easier than recent offerings from the 3rd parties likes of Badcube, GCreation, etc.
Lockdown is one of my favorite characters from the movie verse, and I hated that they killed him off. The way he spoke, the way he looked as well as his alt mode. Even his theme was good. This is an impressive figure in every regard, must add to my collection. Great job UT.

You know, I hate the live action movies in general. But I know there are decent molds and character looks such as the Target exclusive Silver Knight repaint of Leader class Prime (Argent Prime), Nitro, and Hound (AKA Lebowski Prime)
The transformation, poseability and complete lack of kibble in either mode for this figure? Yeah. I...will be buying this one. Never thought they’d do good third party movie figs, much less that I’d want them, but...I do.

No matter how many times I see this, I'm still amazed at the transformation, it truly is magic, über efficient and elegant, I just can't believe such a drastic change is actually easy to do, the engineering is mind blowing.

Dude, I could not stop geeking out while watching this! :D Lockdown is easily one of my favorite characters from the movies, and I hated what Hasbro did to him when they came out with the deluxe class figure. It was just so short and stubby looking, and just did him no justice at all. This one, though? This is gorgeous! This figure really looks like Lockdown! :) He’s tall, imposing, lean, mean, and just outright badass! :) just wow, man! This figure is just amazing, and does Lockdown justice. :)

I'm shocked how small he is in vehicle mode, yet towering in robot mode. This is the best engineering I've ever seen in a transformer. ZERO kibble. INSANE poseability.

This think is insane with a beautiful transformation that will melt the heart of the most ardent movie hater.
Action Toys’ newly revealed AOE Not-Optimus looks like it’ll be an excellent companion toy. This will likely be my first 3rd party. It’s insane how the alt mode scales with MPM Bee but then towers over him in robot mode.

Incredible... The Bot mode doesn’t even look like it Transforms! And the accessories are fantastic. Is that just a grenade or is it supposed to be the Seed? I am literally broke at the moment - now this comes out... Torture...!
I absolutely love that Lockdown toys have a tendency to become as large as they do in robot mode! The only time I can think of that this hasn't happened would be with the deluxe AoE figure, which was a shame.
Like usual, another great review. I'm really happy that Perukill is actually a very well done figure, i had high hopes since UT announced it and wasnt disappointed with the end result. The only complain i have is the lack of arm swivel and ratchets joint but the overall looks and transformation really makes up for that. And i also heard UT is making their own version of masterpiece scale Knight Optimus Prime which i hope scales better with Perukill (since this guy is the same height as MPM Optimus Prime)
The included instructions are garbage, and to be fair it's a complicated process to be able to convoy on paper. I went back and watched your review again, and you did a fantastic job of showing how to transform this guy.

I understand if they didn't want to do this, but looking at how the side transforms, it would be completely possible to implement a Lamborghini door on the figure, which would be amazing. Of course, the door would have to be much thinner than the actual door, and there is no interior to show off, but it would be a cool addition.
Another neat idea would be a functioning aero to the car, as it looks somewhat implement-able. If they could pull the transformation, they could pull that.

Huh, Im not sure if it was intentional or not but even the front car wheels stick out the back of Lockdowns arms like the CGI model. Little things like that I appreciate.

Currently saving up $130 to pick this guy up, can’t wait to pose this with my MPM-4 Optimus Prime👌🏽Although I am really hoping that some third party company to come out with a kit that gives him his spark extractor, and the handheld guns and arm blades that he used in his fight with Optimus at the end of AOE, might have to make my own though

This guy was originally a must have for me when I saw the original designs, but as we get closer to production I'm just not sure... He's definitely a decent figure, but he's no longer a must have and that dog turned out to be incredibly unimpressive. They really had a great idea, and a really good design... But, to me it looks like they really pulled back on a lot of those design elements for it's retail release, which is a bit of a bummer.

I think you forgot to unfold the claw/blade alternate hand. As far as i know and from pics, it's supposed to be his hook hand as seen in his last battle with OP.
I'd love to get this and customize it with a deco more like his animated self, but man, I'd be afraid of messing up something this beautiful.

Call me weird but I want a downscaled version. In my MPM collection all the Transformers that transform into cars are deluxe scale and Lockdown is supposed to be shorter then Prime anyways.
