UPDATE: there is a small locking piece at the bicep to hold the upper arm assembly together. The instructions skip quite a few steps and that was one of them (that piece isn't even flipped up in the pictures in the instructions. Apparently even they forgot about their own engineering LOL). Wasn't aware of it, but I am now. Thank you :)

I saw that Thumbnail and I thought this was a Third Party figure to go along with the 3A movie figures. When I saw the vehicle mode my jaw dropped.
I'm not a third party collector, but dang these are worthy of at LEAST long, dedicated gawks.

This is gonna be a bit controversial, but I think this is the best movie transformer ever made. The vehicle mode and robot mode are accurate and on scale, the vehicle basically disappears, and kibble is almost non existent. I know Hasbro is in the business of making toys, but this figure and others like it should convince them to make a separate line of transformers for collectors so that people like us can get the awesome figures we want.

They did every freaken detail of the cgi model of lockdown and made it transformable ..hats off

I too Am a G-1 era collector, & the sheer genious of this figure is mind blowing @ least!!!! As U look for the specific details on it, Cleary the engineers are on point with placing (car-related) components exactly as they are on "Lockdown" himself in the movie!!!! 🤯 It's a testament to the level of discipline required, in order to construct such a well crafted & utterly exuberating toy!!!! [kudos!!!!] 👍🏼
this maybe my all time favourite transformation. not only did they use fucking wizardry to competely hide the car mode they SOMEHOW mass shifted him from a standard MP carbot to a larger figure like OP! Absolutely stunning!
I just got mine today and its quite impressive how so much of the car disappears when in robot mode. Accessories are pretty dope too. Any tformers collector must buy this bad boy and do so with HONOR!!!!! (Emgo fans will understand lol)

Exactly how he looks in the movie without all the car parts showing! Incredible really. Strange Hasbro still hasn't figured it out yet for the toys. They need to hire designers from Unique Toys!

Got him on Monday and haven't put him down since he's amazing.
This is by far the most sophisticated engineered transformer ive seen so far. Absolutely amazing, and it looks great after its transformered, im in awe, such detailed action figures, i had some G1 growing up in the 80s annd the most sophisticated one i had was rodimus prime. Now that im in my 30s, i find myself buying these new and challenging transformers, thx for sharing
My opinion, the Wei-jiang Commander OS evasion Optimus Prime is a more realistic comparison.

There is an MP sized Nitro Zeus same transformation as the original released by Black Mamba by the name of Aries nitrogen I believe that's what his name is but it is absolutely stunning there is a review of it on this Channel. I recommend it it's a gorgeous figure

How to show the deformation method was very easy to understand. There are places to lock on the inside of your upper arm, but you seem to forget to lock.

Thank you Emgo, thanks to this review, I ventured into 3rd party transformers and got Visual Toys' Bounty Hunter (the ko of this figure), and it is AMAZING! I know I'm late almost 5 years, but better late than never right?

What, you can move the mirrors to other positions? PARTS-FORMING! WORST TOY EVAAH!!! Just jokes, it looks totally awesome. I thought that he had another weapon in the movie, when he took out Ratchet.
That would be the Spark Extractor, and it was a fucking savage weapon - it basically exists solely to rip hearts out (sparks technically, but hearts sounds so much more sinister). Wish they would have included that instead of the dog, but ya know what? Robo-puppy. I'm okay with it.

I've been a fan of Transformers since it came out. I've seen some dreadful robot forms, and some horrible alternative modes. This is one of the cleanest I've ever seen. Can't see any parts that point to car mode when he's a robot, and robot parts in car mode are minimal. Well done.

To me, I don’t think placing the mirrors in a separate location are “parts forming”, I’m sure there’s some purist who needs to touch grass that would disagree, but I wouldn’t consider it any more “parts forming” than having to place ultra magnus’s arm / side missiles in a different location after transformation 😂

I finally got this guy in hand, and I REALLY do not get all the griping on the TFW2005 boards. He's an incredible figure. Unique Toys' solution to folding away all the car junk is simply ingenious, and he's super stable. Yes, he has a couple of things that could have been done better. That does not change the fact that he looks absolutely phenomenal, and is fun to mess with to boot. I cant wait for their Optimus, and will DEFINITELY be getting my hands on Firage.
I have seen many reviews and yours multiple times and I still can't believe his transformation, it's borderline black magic.

So it is possible for these figures to look movie accurate and not have an annoying back pack. This totally sets the bar for me. I generally like to collect the more accurate figures like Three A. So I'm holding off on all other transformers (Like the studio class and masterclass) I was considering on buying until they get up to this level. They're pretty much the same prices anyway. This is awesome.

In the past they would usually release 3 leader class figures, they could have certainly gone with something like this for Lockdown as the third leader alongside Prime and Grimlock! The least they could have done was make a decent voyager of him but instead they went with a deluxe who was really just a retool of DotM Roadbuster. -___-
