That's not the first animation of yours that I've seen, and I must say your choice of music is excellent! The music complements the story so well.
Even though I saw these iterators for the first time this short story made me cry... Iterators' lore is certainly tragic, every time I think about it I feel miserable. Ancients were so cruel to create the iterators able to think but enable to escape
Ougghh, doomed by the narrative iterators always hurt my heart SO MUCHHHH (I say as if I'm not guilty of having them)

so NLS sent The Imitator with a pearl to 2CD because of her collapsing structure, question is, what’s causing her collapse?
unstable can maybe, many thing can happen, like earthquakes or whole city collapsed
...or the superstructure could've been built on top of an abandoned but buried quarry. That's at least the case for my headcannon 2nd gen Iterator Nine/No(?) Green Stars (NGS for short), at least, why it would've tipped over onto its side at a 39° angle (but not fully collapsed, as only half of the legs gave in) by the time Saint would be around.
NGS' story is a bit... weird, local group consists of senior iterator Blazing Skies (1st gen), the unfinished superstructure of would've been 3rd gen Iterator (like Five Pebbles), with NGS' superstructure having/had a merely bolted on extension known as the auxiliary systems, with an secondary systems buss, used by an archaic remote access system run by a Proto-Iterator/gen 0 iterator, False Positive/Karma Of 5.

(I swear I remember from somewhere they said Imitator takes place after Saint's campaign, but I can't find it so... might be wrong)
Anyways, the world has been covered in snow for a long time, contact with other iterators has been lost for an even longer time. Yet now, even sight of their structures have been slowly being lost. Now, there are few of them left still functioning. Perhaps due to natural causes or some sort of unnatural cause, North Limpid Snowdrop's (NLS) structure has stopped working. Their final message to take care of their creation. I would imagine that 2 Chark Dots and NLS were good friends, or at least NLS trusted them enough to entrust their beloved creation to them. There aren't many iterators left... What shall 2 Chark Dots do now?
well he will let the imitator stayed at his structure, teach him how to develop
there is an ending if the imitator decided to stay with 2CD after help him finding some material, it'll be "The little schoolar" ending where The Imitator accepted 2CD as their next owner and for the other ending,well kind of bad

im just draw the bg along with the animation, they're pretty simple

So I presume the iterator at the start and the iterator at the end of the same correct also does this take place during the Saint timeline considering it's snowing
yep they do, but after the saint time line even its still snowing
