I love the way he play's the second suite! I can tell he's put a lot of work into it! And you've got to love Mr. Lesser's Ideas... amazing!

I love the idea that Bach’s Allemande is how he thinks the French see the Germans! I had found this Allemande rather impenetrable, until I tried playing it on the piano, where it started to make sense to me. I hadn’t spotted the cadences on unusual beats though. Very helpful! I also approve of keeping in tempo, broadly. We can flex it as much as we like while we’re playing with it, discovering it and having fun; but to communicate to others, keeping broadly to tempo lets everyone feel the architecture. And they are dances after all (except the preludes). Thanks to both. Much appreciated!

We are so fortunate to have videos such as this to hear the ideas of the Masters and observe how supportive they are of students, both in that class and those of us listening online.

He could immediately play better after his instruction, great teacher.

Every student in every masterclass plays immediately better, they are less nervous.

I play a bit of cello, I don't understand the facial expressions but the fact that he can play without really looking at anything is pretty impressive

Sometimes, on the cello, we hit the "brown sound" and have to contort our faces as noted to hold in a poop. It's a very visceral instrument.

this gets pretty easy once you have played it enough times. Also, you get a better concept of the fingerboard in your mind the longer you play and the harder you practice !

Interesting as I think the opposite. It sounds a bit empty and cold to me. But as a beginner I might be wrong.
It would be very interesting to know what he’s playing.

Whose breathing am I hearing throughout this performance?? Lol. The player? Anyway, the piece was beautiful. And the player was so nice to watch! Bravo
