This is great!! However it would be helpful if you would show your buttons as you go along or verbalize them more. Incase anyone is wondering how he added the mapping node, you click shift+A in the shade viewer and then search and then type mapping.

How did your sphere projection unwrap the shpere so well? For me it comes out distorted.

Great tutorial, thank you! I don't have Substance Painter... how would the shading be done similarly in Blender? (I'm still learning).

nevermind, anybody wondering how- simply disconnect the metal and roughness nodes if you want a high-poly looking version

When you're insetting the faces of the golf ball, you say to double tap i. I can only single tap i, but I was able to scale and inset the faces. Is it a version difference or did I misinterpret that step? Fantastic tutorial by the way, thank you!

Blender noob here. After I add the subdivision modifier I don't see as many dots on my icosphere as you have on yours. So when trying to select vertices and dissolve them it selects nearly the entire sphere and just deletes it. What am I missing?

How many subdivisions do you have?

@@Talamander I'm having the same issue i think something may have changed in 2.9 instead of getting the hectagon's it's just triangles still no matter how many subdivisions or editing the modifier

Have you applied the subdivision modifier? Same thing was happening to me so I applied it and it worked

When you said "Principled BDSF node" at 4:46, I thought you were about to say "Principled BDSM node" instead, lol
