Friends mom was watching you on tv this morning, and you said something calling out the heresy of the rapture before suffering for christ that was a bold accurate statement and i could see you know your scripture, you know your eschatology, and you have the authority of the holy spirit with conviction when speaking. Asked my friends mum what your name is, Then I find this video on your channel. Thank jesus for this message 🙌 🙏

SDA is the only religious group that practice this wickedness . Jeremiah 1:5 God said I knew you when I formed you and sanctified thee . SDA has been in the gruesome abortion business for 50 years . Don't worry excessively about it. Like the apostle Paul we can all stand together on the same ground preaching Jesus and Him crucified. Every element of the gospel centers around this basic foundation that Jesus gave Himself to save all of us.
When we compare notes with those from other churches, we do well to focus on the beliefs which we hold in common, leaving for a more appropriate time those issues which might divide us.

Respectfully, I ain't so completely comfortable with this sermon. Separation from church and state should be sure and guarded. True liberty allows for the inevitable likelihood of acceptance, disagreement or outright rejection. In the book of Acts, chapter 17, Paul appeals to the hearts of men. As his talk ended the scripture shows the 3 typical reactions seen in the necessary tension of discussion when someone's world view is being challenged or upended. Notice, "when they heard of the resurrection of the dead,
    1) 🔴 some mocked,
    2) 🟡 while others said, “We will hear you again on this matter...
    3) 🟢 However, some men joined him and believed..."
    Acts 17:32‭-‬34
As the body of Christ we should pray that God will steady our words and welcome the tension of debate and disagreement. Living in this country provides unique freedoms (of which I'm very thankful) BUT I believe it is equally important to make room for other's to live out there [squeamish, abominable] convictions. Let's plan ahead that there should be ongoing discussions on morality, sustainability and sin. Discipleship or soul winning is a one at a time process. We will forever debate what [Constitutional] furniture should be used/allowed in the American living room and anticipating this deliberation shall remain this way until the Judgement of God has been poured out. (Revelation 16)
    I'll leave it there...

Excellent points to ponder Pr. Doug.. One point I'd like to add is that Jesus teaches us to keep the "Spirit" of the Law & Not the "Letter"- giving us the example of David eating the showbread During Wartime (which was only lawful for the priest to eat- when following the Letter of the Law) This brings us to the concept of "situational ethics" or better known as "exceptions to the rule." A modern example might be to help push someone's car out of the ice or ditch on the Sabbath day, etc.
I realize that "situational ethics" might be used to justify swinging the "pendulum," you spoke of, too far. So let's consider the issue of "Roe vs Wade"- While it is good to try & protect the unborn, we must also have laws that will protect the lives of our children (& adult women) from the consequences of rape, incest & other health concerns. Therefore I would not consider it to be immoral (in our very imperfect world) to have at least a pill available that starts the monthly cycle. Beyond that we need Good orphanages & better adoption plans.. better ways support & help All children & women (& men) from abuse.

This is a false argument. Jesus' use of David eating the showbread was not meant to be taken as Him saying there are exceptions to the rule. The point was that showing mercy supersedes a strict adherence to law. That's why He didn't go along with the mob that wanted to stone the adulteress.

A question: If your children or grandchildren were playing a sport and the coach decided that before every game the whole team should kneel down and pray to Mary (queen of heaven) or to Krishna (Hindu god), what would you feel about that? It sure would be part of the religious freedom of the coach, but how about the children? Or the parents? If we would like the freedom of not being pressured to pray to a "god" in which we do not believe, should we not allow the same freedom to others?
Also, Jesus told us to pray not on display, but "in our closet" - and there is so much else worth praying for than just beating the other team in a sport...

That wasn’t the point, he prayed on his own ,after the game, and didn’t force anybody else to do it. Why was that anyone else’s business? And to lose your job over it? It was almost as if he is encouraging us to link up with Protestants on points we agree on in politics. That is a slippery slope. The problem with separating church and state is that state becomes more powerful than the religious freedom. The Constitution should be taken at face value. And you can't blame people for suggesting kill separation of church and state when their freedom is being taken away. When the state is telling them how to live.

    • @Gheorghe99
      @Gheorghe99 2 года назад

Yes, I can blame people for suggesting the US should eliminate the church/state wall of separation. I would rather live in an atheistic country (e.g. Scandinavian country) where everyone is free to worship anyone or anything he/she wants than in a Christian state where anyone who disagrees with the State-sponsored brand of Christianity is being persecuted, imprisoned, or killed. Read up on the Catholic Inquisition and you might get my point. I understand Pastor Doug is fantasizing out loud about the US becoming a Protestant Christian nation where religion is being taught in every public school, every public event starts with a prayer, and the Ten Commandments are posted on every building. However, from an SDA pastor and Revelation Prophesies teacher, one might expect a little more self-awareness and historic perspective.

@@Gheorghe99 I am well aware of earth's history. It is funny you assume I do not.
Christianity is never a religion that forces. If you read the Word you would know that clearly.
It is atheists and pagans that force wickedness upon others. That is history.
Catholicism is a form of paganism. It is not true Christianity.
It was God who inspired the US Constitution for the very reason of allowing individual freedom. Even if that meant some or most people doing evil. Judgment will come someday. Everyone has to make their choice. But everyone will be judged for their deeds and choice for or against righteousness.
And it is funny how you mention Scandanavia. I have heard some and chatted with some from that area and it is not as free as you say. That is a lie. The "woke" is everywhere. Rotting every society.

Religion was not looked at by our founders as any religion. They saw it as Christianity: the only true religion. They were all Christian. Don't say any were deist. They were not. They were Christian and established that this is a Christian nation. What they expressed was no denomination of this true religion is to be mandated by any state nor the federal government.

Nick, but this is further extrapolated & interpreted as➡️ [Gov't shall make No Laws compelling a person as to when, who, or how to worship & believe - So this is regardless of whether it's Christianity or Any other religion ] *And this freedom in particular, (to try & be even more specific) further means that a person cannot use this freedom to harm or oppress others (since that would be breaking other laws that protect people)➡️ so just because there's "no law telling you how or even If you must worship" doesn't mean you have the right to "sacrifice a virgin" for example into a volcano etc.. to use an ancient example. 😪

As an highly influential leader, you should refrain from mixing corruption with truth; the Almighty does not call his people to join the beast. The Almighty God wants us to let our light shine so they can see our good works and glorify God. I’m pretty sure you’re very acquainted with EGW (the great controversy), I recommend that you reread that book and seek Almighty’s knowledge before you try to preach or teach his messages, unless you’ll lead others a stray.

Why isn’t there a sermon against some Christians who go out making someone’s decisions more painful that already is? Do Christians have the right to harass, stalk, and publicly humiliate someone for decisions he or she makes? God didn’t that to me. And I’m sure He didn’t do that to you either. He patiently, gently, and mercifully showed me I was wrong. And I’m 100% sure God came to you in the same way. The will to listen and then change it’s totally up to us. He doesn’t force His laws on no one!

I agree that the US "Liberty & Justice for ALL" concept is still being developed.. but please don't forget that nearly half a million "Whites" (among others) died defending Freedom in this country & many more permanent injuries from Civil War battles (Yes, Lincoln wanted to keep the Union together & Not divide us, but the whole issue was over the Emancipation Proclamation). Also remember the Whites that marched with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In the 60's, & other supporters 💜 (God wants ALL people to be saved & free.)
Yet the North has Not been perfect either considering how the working class (& the Irish), among other newcomers, were treated. And don't even get me started on how women have historically been oppressed & still don't have (for the most part) the Earning potential of a man, even tho' many women are struggling to care for our families with basic necessities, education, health care, & keeping our heads above water with No child support from "daddy.". So let's keep working on this concept to make lives better for ALL💕💕💕
*Sorry for the "rant"- I know you were referring to US "laws" & the actions of those who Oppress others thru' those laws/ powers & Not individuals that are actually supporting Freedom & Human Rights❣👍

Pastor Doug Trying to get in not get out?
Hmm😒 you know in past Sermon's you mentioned how much you love history; so here's a history lesson.
There was a Period in American History when A People did leave America.
It was a small number but, still significant the bottom line Pastor Doug yes it's True people are fighting too come in to America but, I still go back too those who left America.
In the late 1880's to 1900s African American's found America intolerable and for some reason which has me scratching my head opted to go live in England & France.
There were those who found opportunities in those two places, again, I don't get why those place's England and France doesn't make sense to Me.
I thought at some point they'd stop going to England and France then a while back I found out that two people that made up The Nine that integrated The High School in Arkansas Central High left America.
They settled in Europe some where.
I won't say where just somewhere; and they've gotten married in Europe, they've had children in Europe, Grand children in Europe and so far they only come around if there's and award ceremony in The United State's.
I would be surprised that they be buried here when God calls them too Rest.
We don't even as Seventh Day Adventist's recognize a third Little Rock Nine that integrated The High School who was Seventh Day Adventist's.
I mean it doesn't appear like he went back South for quite sometime and stayed in California for a good while, I'm sure he probably goes back to Arkansas now.
Let's not forget after a certain election not 2020 some people decided New Zealand would be a good place too Live.
Of course there were Indigenous People (Native American's Pre-Columbus who oddly opted too go live in Australia 🇦🇺 and New Zealand 🇳🇿 after WWII.
Know one ever think's of or consider's America's Children that did leave because of what institutions and The Systems and Law's Set against Them.

@Hulda's Journey • The problem for the Adventists is they persecute those who have liberty because they are not in bondage to the law. @@billclass5847 Not sure what you mean there. God expects us to follow His Word. That is not an Adventist thing. That is a God thing. This is a Christian thing. The only problem with SOME people is they do nothing but judge others. That is the problem. That doesn't fall on Adventists but anyone who behaves that way. Jesus even said clearly "if you love me, keep my commandments". Do we do that on our own strength? Certainly not. Only through the Holy Spirit can we be free of sin and its bondage. I don't claim to have arrived there yet but this is just fact. And should be clear to all "Christians". Unfortunately it is not.

@@billclass5847 I am not aware that Adventists are persecuting anyone. What form is that persecution taking?
Your comment raised a lot of questions in my mind. If I am understanding you... you believe that we don't have to obey God's Word? So, adultery is ok in your church, stealing and killing too. I don't understand.
Which commandments do you feel we should obey, and which commandments shouldn't be obeyed?
The Bible says in Romans 12:10 to love one another. If you don't believe we have to obey, do you not love one another in your church? I don't believe your church teaches that.
Love is the foundation of God's 10 Commandments. Love for God, and love for one another.
We don't obey God in order to be saved, we obey God because we are saved. We can't obey without Him. We are all sinners in need of grace everything single moment.
      Blessings to you Bill.

@@billclass5847 You need to explain yourself a bit more. You are generalizing everyone in a group which automatically shows a flaw in your statement.
The Bible is our guide from God. That is law.
Each person has their own walk at their own growth level. Just because one person is doing more than another does not make the one doing more more righteous.
If a person is walking with Jesus in sincerity that is what matters. Not trying to earn His favor. But following out of love.
Too many people judge others rather than look at their own life. And if one is proud in their "righteousness" then they already don't understand what following Jesus is about.

The alternative is they don’t come to church at all. Unlike a lot of you young folks ,us older folks have worked 70 hour weeks for years ,and we get tired easier as we get older. Never say somebody doesn’t belong in church. All of us are sinners and we all belong wherever we can hear God‘s word: church , home church, , crowded seashore, side of a mountain on the grass. And I guarantee you somebody is going to fall asleep whether they’re a little person, an old person ,or just a middle-aged work swamped person. We do have an example of this in the Bible when somebody preached all night long and someone fell out of a window. The man was revived, because at least he came to listen to the message. Funny thing , I don’t recall him getting criticized. Acts 20:7-22. Just a little story you might need to hear. The pastor called out my grandfather for falling asleep during the sermon as he was leaving the church, my grandfather told him everything he had preached right then and there, and then said I was just resting my eyes. It was the pastor who was embarrassed My grandfather was still working full-time in his 80s, hard outside farm work. If someone made the effort to come to church ,then that’s where they’re supposed to be. Can you think of a better place for them? I taught Sabbath school and none of the other teachers wanted this one very disruptive little boy in their class, but he behaved in my class. When questioned about it, my response was “this is exactly where he needs to be, getting to know Our Savior”. Sounds like we all need to learn that lesson. No place better to be than at the savior’s feet.
