Yeah but he loved Jason. Wanted a break through with him. To see where he’s coming from. Like a father saying, “look kid… take it from me” to his son that he absolutely loves. The best part of Injustice 2 is Hal's redemption arc, hands down. Yeah, it's not exactly deep or thorough, but I like how brightly it's shown twice. Firstly, when he defies the Red Ring. It's not an unneccesary bravado of how "anger is bad and willpower is good". He acknowledges the hate. He admits that he hates himself, that Atrocitus is right. Secondly, when Cost-City is destroyed. He just lost his hometown, with no way of restoring it. His love, his family, gone in a single moment. He stands still for moments, unable to move, right until Superman is depowered by Gold Kryptonite. Yet he stands on Batman's side. No matter what he feels now, no matter how he hates Brainiac for what he's done, he understands that he is needed alive, so nobody else has to suffer the same fate. Hal feels rage, even stronger than ever before, even Atrocitus feels it and tries to call him. Yet he still overcomes it and fights Superman. He's lost, Clark breaks his fingers like it's nothing. But Hal redeemed himself. In the blackest night of his life, Green Lantern shines brighter than ever before.

She doesn't even get to be the one who defeats Brainiac, and I think the general plot would have been better if it was a battle for Supergirl's soul between Harley Quinn and Wonder Woman; the redeemed supervillain vs. the fallen superhero. Imagine if Superman died at the very beginning of the Injustice 2 comics, and Supergirl never even met him, so she only had stories to go off of from different people, such as Harley Quinn and Wonder Woman, leading up to the moment she defeats Brainiac, and has to choose between killing Brainiac or not, and would then clash between either Harley Quinn or Wonder Woman. This is just naturally basing the story off of the character developments done so far, instead of the actual main story where Harley Quinn and Supergirl are interesting characters, but neither Harley Quinn nor Supergirl seem to have any real impact on the main story's plot, and no one else really develops much at all.

So much this. My main thought when playing the game was that Supergirl has all this setup, only to get shafted at every turn. Your suggestions would have given the game so much more depth in its story, and given Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn and Supergirl real tangible conflict and themes to build on. The very concept of Injustice Superman as a legacy in the story may seem trite at a glance (anytime someone tries this with any Superman in a story it tends to have mixed results), but it would have been so much more effective than what we had because Injustice Superman no longer contrasts with anything as Batman is shown in the game to share many similarities with the only contrast being how far over the line they're willing to cross. Supergirl, who is supposed to contrast Superman, achieves almost nothing and fails to tip the thematic scales in any meaningful way. Hell, taking it one step further and not killng Injustice Superman but shelving him and letting his reputation speak for him for most of the plot would have made a really good setup for a final battle between Supergirl and Injustice Superman in the Harley Quinn path. This would have elevated him into a symbol contrasting Supergirl's own based on her decisions and her family legacy, leading into a fight for the soul of her house.
"There's no true villain in Injustice" Yeah...I won't go that far. WW is clearly a psycho and manipulator from the beginning and Superman while not starting that way, he's now a true villain after killing a kid and treat it as casualty of war
Hello! I began watching your videos around a week or two ago, and since then I think I've gone through about half your catalogue. Just wanted to let you know before watching this one that what you do is insanely cool and that I (and a lot of other people) appreciate you and the videos you make. Subbed the first day and here to stay. :)
The line "I miss the people we were then" kills me so hard every time because its so devastatingly present in real life. Fucking breaks me to think about relationships used to be had a long time ago and how none of those things, those memories will ever be real again. Its gone, it died, the people we were don't exist anymore and we've all moved on in different ways.
In defense of the games, I suspect some of the changes came from the development process, it's one thing to have professional 2D artists draw a full book of characters they are familiar with and a good writer that 'understands the voices of the characters' write said book, but... it's entirely another to fully 3D model, rig for animation, add textures and colors, then animate, and voice act, those characters with the same consistency by a game developer team that maybe only half or less of them know these characters as well as the comic team did, all while under far stricter deadlines. I do think they dropped the ball on the overall story quality they could have done, they could have got to the same emotional beats and meaningful moments with the smaller cast in the games if they wanted to and could have been more careful to tie it back into the comics more effectively, so all points in this video are still very much valid, just saying I can see why they may have had issues and that I understand it.
Not to mention that the game designers need to do all of that while still fitting in fight scenes so the people can play the game. That will also make the story not flow as well.
@@phabiorules this is why I have a problem with this RUclipsr saying that the comic writer should have wrote the game. Games and comics are different mediums, and writers for video games have to find ways for players to actually play the game and have to find ways to have a perfect ratio I guess, of cutscenes to gameplay and portion out the cutscenes so gamers, whom are fighting game fans, can actually fight.
The injustice 2 comic is so sad and depressing but it does make a tons of sense and honestly if i have to compare both Injustice 2 comic and its game counterpart I would go with the actual comic because written fantastic by tom Taylor but that being said though the game itself is good and man oh man I am going to miss Kevin conroy as batman so much because and it breaks my heart he's gone and i am going to never hear him voice batman ever again. Oh speaking of injustice we are going to have a continuation of the injustice story with Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy going to the injustice universe and fighting injustice superman his father which could be interesting but at the same time though raises questions for a possible injustice 3 but then again at this point I highly doubt we are going to be getting injustice 3 given the whole discovery merger stuff happened and everything not making sense anymore I don't think we are going to be getting injustice 3 anytime soon in the future however if I am wrong and we do get injustice 3 that would be amazing but until then I am going to go with my headcanon of injustice 2 ending being with batman and supergirl reforming the justice league and rebuilding there world into a better place in my opinion.
Yeah! I saw it. Although Superman is finally free from all the things he has done throughout the games of Injustice and he can see Lois Lane and her unborn son in heaven. The Regime are no more this time.
To be fair to MOST of the continuity errors, the game came out before the comics, so really the comic writers should’ve worked with the game’s set continuity for the series. However, the game’s writing is really inconsistent in terms of characters and plot and continuity (especially the opening scene like wtf) so let’s just get Tom on that team for the 3rd game.

Sorry for my English, but man your channel is literally aesthetic monument for dc universe. Its like you creating beautiful digital temple for all dc enjoyers to come and find some interesting thoughts about their beloved universe.
0:31 That line hits really hard. Because Clark agrees. Very deep down he wishes he could go back to being the symbol and hero he once was, the man Lois feel in love with, but he won't, because he still believes his way is right, and because he knows he's gone too far to stop now
I've always read it the injustice universe as the comics are the main universe games are another one and movies again a different one. They can slip in within or without eachother.
The big bad thing that the Injustice series did was ruin Wonder Woman. Specifically, in Injustice 2. It was honestly really dumb how much of a bitch she was. Harley's diss at Wonder Woman is way too correct for it's own good.
I never found the character of Injustice Superman accurate (or any of these "fallen" supermen) Superman's entire character is to be a "super" moral example of what people can be. But now, with these incarnations I honestly can say I know a whole host of people that would act more super than Superman. If Superman loses that aspect, he's no longer Superman, he's just another clone with Superman's power set.
Every time I hear that convo. I wish in responses to "you knew. Before I even said anything. Batman instead said "I didn't know I would've been The godfather"
Irony is that injustice is about superman becoming batman because his loved ones are taken from him, leaving him alienated from the people he blames for being the problem he must police through terror. And batman opposes him.
Not sure if people are aware but the injustice universe is making a comeback this year. In the recent Dark Crisis comic event they revealed injustice is earth 49 in the new post infinite frontier multiverse. Main comic universe Jon Kent will be visiting the injustice universe in his upcoming comic "Adventures of superman: Jon Kent" written by Tom Taylor, who wrote the injustice comic books.
On another note the Masters of the Universe crossover that follows up on Superman's ending is pretty fun And I say that as someone who's never cared about or personally watched MotU
Ok ok so I had an idea. So what if the Arkham games take place in the same universe but a different timeline? The good universe from Injustice 1? What if THAT Is the Arkham universe. Those events take place after Arkham Origins but a few years before Asylum. Not saying this is even a theory or anything, just a thought.
Woah! Was that last clip a teaser of a Trauma Man's analysis of one of my favorite death of Superman stories? (If not, its still a classic moment, "I'm speaking for Superman....")
To this day I still subscribe to the idea that Injustice 1 should have been loosely queued by Emerald Twilight instead of evil Superman and Injustice 2 Tower of Babel. With a few liberties maybe focus on Kyle as the newest hero on the scene in Injustice 1 fighting people Hal swayed and freeing the justice league members Hal couldn't sway who were imprisoned rejoining the fight against parallax and freeing Superman in the finale because with evil Superman things get too contrived to keep his rampage going. This is someone coming from someone who doesn't dig the Superman is all hope.
Comics have unfortunately always been secondary canon compared to games and films. If a movie/game and a tie-in comic contradict, its the movie/game that got it right. The Injustice comic had the benefit of building up and adding to something that was already completed. But its my understanding that the development of the Injustice 2 comic and game never communicated with one another, which is stupid but pretty much how it works with these sorts of things
I wonder if Injustice 3 will have Superman pulling an Injustice 1 and calling out to another universe to help the Regime. Could be interesting to see Clark enlisting the help of Ultraman and the Crime Syndicate of America.
I personally like Injustice 2, more than the first, but they really should’ve let this game be the 3rd installment, and have the comic story with Ra’s and Amazo be the 2nd game. R.I.P Kevin. Thank you for making some of my favorite childhood memories
7:45 I think this portion of what happened at Arkham is supposed to be an account of Bruce telling the story to the court so he probably only accounted for the portions that were necessary in the hearing.
James Gunn said the new DC games will be connected to the movie universe, this worries me, does this mean we won’t get original stories and universes like injustice anymore ?
no it doesn't. They will almost certainly still do stand alone games outside of the continuity. Its just that those games will now have the elseworld label attached to them, same as the batman 2, joker 2 and teen titans go.
As flawed as injustice 2's story was I enjoyed it and thought it was pretty neat but could've done a bit better. I do hope we get an injustice 3 one day but I'm kinda heartbroken that if they ever do we might not get Kevin Conroy
Here me out but If the next injustice game should feature his son taking up the mantle. The only person I could see Bruce having a relationship in this universe is with Harley. So Lucy and Thomas Jr. Could essentially be like the new Batman and Robin. And in the game, Superman could try to manipulate Bruce and Harley, son. Like Thawne did to Nora in the Flash tv show many years ago. Don't know what season it was.
I feel like the Injustice has never fully lived up to its potential The comics, the games, and the movie are in my opinion always a step down to what can be done with the idea
Have you seen the sequel comic where masters of the universe He-man meets bad ending injustice 2 Superman and brainiac controlled Batman? It’s honestly not bad
i didn't like injustice 2, it felt like a convoluted mess and the system of personalization of the fighters were lootboxes, the only cool thing in that game were the DLC with tmnt, hellboy and spawn

Yeah...I won't go that far. WW is clearly a psycho and manipulator from the beginning and Superman while not starting that way, he's now a true villain after killing a kid and treat it as casualty of war
Does that also happen in the comics?
@@Modernww2fare in the comic he kill Billy in his kid form
Both the comics and games are amazing. Every issue, every chapter
Okay, the moment with Diana freezing Thawne caught me off guard and now I don't remember what I watched
It’s so funny how smugly reverse flash is standing there frozen and how not even he apparently had time to react to that
In defense of the games, I suspect some of the changes came from the development process, it's one thing to have professional 2D artists draw a full book of characters they are familiar with and a good writer that 'understands the voices of the characters' write said book, but... it's entirely another to fully 3D model, rig for animation, add textures and colors, then animate, and voice act, those characters with the same consistency by a game developer team that maybe only half or less of them know these characters as well as the comic team did, all while under far stricter deadlines.
You forgot about the weird He-Man Injustice crossover that follows the Superman Injustice 2 ending
Yeah! I saw it. Although Superman is finally free from all the things he has done throughout the games of Injustice and he can see Lois Lane and her unborn son in heaven. The Regime are no more this time.
I love your videos so much. Hearing you talk about these pieces of media that I already love so much really elevates my love of them even further. ❤
This Superman Cliffhanger is killing me.
I really really need the third game...@_@
But, we don't know which endings will lead to Injustice 3 game.
@@johnsantos507 Probably the one that supports the comics themes of trust.
@@MouldMadeMind Themes of Trust?
@@johnsantos507 you know, the things alluded to in the video?
The one you watched right?
@@MouldMadeMind ?🤨🤷🏿♂️
I wish you talked about the Damien and Supergirl scenes from the comic it makes the injustice damien so much more likable
OOOOOOO loving the recent uploads, dude! makin my week better- im a huge injustice fan too so this a treat
There are all these deaths in comics like these, but Harley Quinn never dies. And she uses a giant wooden hammer.
Remember, the game came out first. The comic that came out several years later, so the retcons came in the books.
Well some of those continuity mistakes would be the fault of the comics as they came out after the game.
Found you because someone on tiktok has been uploading your vids. You're making great stuff glad you're community was there to credit you and brought me to you
Sorry for my English, but man your channel is literally aesthetic monument for dc universe. Its like you creating beautiful digital temple for all dc enjoyers to come and find some interesting thoughts about their beloved universe.
Jon Kent Superboy going to crash onto the injustice world
0:31 That line hits really hard. Because Clark agrees. Very deep down he wishes he could go back to being the symbol and hero he once was, the man Lois feel in love with, but he won't, because he still believes his way is right, and because he knows he's gone too far to stop now
Keep it up dude! These videos give much needed love to DC and serotonin to me! The Sinestro thing at the end killed me!
Thank you. This was perfectly said.
I've always read it the injustice universe as the comics are the main universe games are another one and movies again a different one. They can slip in within or without eachother.
I'm still so mad at Tim's death
Me too. We lost another members of the Bat family.
Continuity errors. Meh. In the original injustice comic Hal and Kyle were drawn as each other.
The big bad thing that the Injustice series did was ruin Wonder Woman. Specifically, in Injustice 2. It was honestly really dumb how much of a bitch she was. Harley's diss at Wonder Woman is way too correct for it's own good.
It's fucking crazy to me that the Suicide Squad game had a better depiction of WW than anything since Injustice came out.
I never found the character of Injustice Superman accurate (or any of these "fallen" supermen)
Superman's entire character is to be a "super" moral example of what people can be. But now, with these incarnations I honestly can say I know a whole host of people that would act more super than Superman.
If Superman loses that aspect, he's no longer Superman, he's just another clone with Superman's power set.
the biggest retcon/continuity error for me was the revival of scarecrow when joker states how he killed scarecrow for the fear toxin
Your intros never fail to amaze me!
I'd love to see you make a video about Grant Morrison's Batman run!
i think having Barry return to be the flash undermines the whole point of his arc in some way i can’t explain
On another note the Masters of the Universe crossover that follows up on Superman's ending is pretty fun
And I say that as someone who's never cared about or personally watched MotU
This is someone coming from someone who doesn't dig the Superman is all hope.
ok ik that death is everywhere in injustice but they fucking killed ace the bat dog like wtf
Injustice 3 a batman beyond story would or kingdom com would go hard
I miss the people we were then.
Me too, but I miss it MORE!!!(PUNCH)
10:46 -10:47
Using the majority of the DCAU voice actors was probably the greatest choice they ever made.
I wonder if Injustice 3 will have Superman pulling an Injustice 1 and calling out to another universe to help the Regime. Could be interesting to see Clark enlisting the help of Ultraman and the Crime Syndicate of America.
I like the idea that Bruce is sort of Lex Luther’s foil in Superman
I personally like Injustice 2, more than the first, but they really should’ve let this game be the 3rd installment, and have the comic story with Ra’s and Amazo be the 2nd game.
R.I.P Kevin. Thank you for making some of my favorite childhood memories
Comic books? In this channel? Hell yeah!!! 😆
This is my favorite thing I always love these videos
Finally been waiting weeks for you to do this brev
Since when we act like the games and the comic have the same continuity? What next the animated movie was cannon all along?
Here me out but If the next injustice game should feature his son taking up the mantle. The only person I could see Bruce having a relationship in this universe is with Harley. So Lucy and Thomas Jr. Could essentially be like the new Batman and Robin. And in the game, Superman could try to manipulate Bruce and Harley, son. Like Thawne did to Nora in the Flash tv show many years ago. Don't know what season it was.
I would love see video on the Injustice 3 comics where it crosses over He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
6:24 holy shit I'm crying
I feel like the Injustice has never fully lived up to its potential
The comics, the games, and the movie are in my opinion always a step down to what can be done with the idea
Is it either me or Ra's at 7:19 looks like Mads Mikkelsen?
Tim's death still pisses me off
Same here, That still irks me
Have you seen the sequel comic where masters of the universe He-man meets bad ending injustice 2 Superman and brainiac controlled Batman? It’s honestly not bad
Odd comment, but I DO like GL's Parallax retcon, the original Emerald Twilight story was not exactly...good. Silver lining, it gave us Kyle.
i didn't like injustice 2, it felt like a convoluted mess and the system of personalization of the fighters were lootboxes, the only cool thing in that game were the DLC with tmnt, hellboy and spawn
I like how you have to at the end and just accepted the truth.
this channel is so beautiful
Superman = 1 ruler world peace but under a tyrant
Batman = A cabal of rulers.... Chaotic dangerous world
Great
7:39 PFFFFFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 💀
I'm pretty sure the flashback at the beginning of injustice 2 is supposed to be different than when Dick died in injustice 1
And for the Superman ending, the comics continue and crossover with Masters of the Universe.
When are we going to see a video on the New 52 Superman?
Injustice 2 was deeep
Man DC really hates my boy Tim don't they?
Wait. Why does Jonathan Kent look like Ben's grampa?
Your videos are awesome

Heart wrenching ? Definitely. Cool ? Absolutely not. It’s the school yard strong boy who turns into a bully because he’s sad. “I don’t get what I want ? Then NOBODY will !”
