Jess, I switched to PET tapes when I began following your channel. My plan is to use the 12 I selected monthly - as much as possible in both my Goal and Daily journals. At the end of the year, they are all going into the gift wrapping box to be used to seal brown craft paper or white "butcher's paper". I will give gifts that look lovely AND be able to choose a dozen more for next year. Win. Win. Win. (and I use your code, so I love my savings!)
I know that you love Paper mate Inkjoy; and they are good, but there are so much better. Having said that, pen choices are also very personal. Paper Mate inkjoy has great ink but I have small hands so they feel a bit too chunky for me.
That's a LOT of washi tapes! I hope you can do a video where you swatch them all. Some of them are gorgeous, especially the landscape ones and the store fronts.
I LOVE Tom’s Studio. I use the Infinite use pen in my sketch kit. Their ink is gorgeous - seriously. And don’t get me started on their fountain pen nibs. Not a fan of the tea but just love them. Great customer service and they’re REALLY into pens.
I love pocket bujo. I use it now for second month as main bujo. I love that it opens to A5 because that’s the space I need with portability of A6. But I am definitely the target audience for this one. I also love the 80gsm Leuchtturm paper and hate 160gsm of Archer and olive to the core of my existence 😂
I never thought about it but when writing a professional report I prefer page numbers in the bottom middle but for journals/books I prefer the page numbers on the outer lower corners
I like the science set from the washi tape shop, but not sure if I want so many science bros stickers lol. Also if my themes were to follow the season of where I live, all my themes would be hot summer beach vibes since I live in a tropical climate 😂
The bullet journal pocket is probably best compared to something like the Field Notes journal. My Field Note journals are grid not dotted (I don't remember if there is a choice) but the grid lines up across the middle really well. And the grid goes right to the edge of each page so you could easily you them either orientation without issue.
Our autumn doesn’t look like that either, I live in on the Gulf coast of the United States. We have more evergreens as well with a few red maples in there. The typical fall look is more north of us, in the hills and mountains and the Northeast (New England) I tend to decorate with our seasons, but every now and then and want something different
German here :) For the Bullet Journal products: On the pen it said "Drehgriffel", which means "twist stylus" And maybe this helps with pronouncing Leuchtturm (it means lighthouse), transcribed into English it would kinda be: Loichttoorm (the ch is not like an English ch "tsch", it doesn't exist in English I think... the closest I can think of would be the sound of a cat hissing lol)
Oh my! You bought my kryptonite. I've bought every roll I could find from this artist (there are a couple more). Not cheap but, good heavens, they make me smile! As you say, if I like the way my journal is decorated, I'm much more likely to be consistent in my use of it, so that was my justification for buying many more rolls of washi than I need. 😆I love books, so this series is great. The other rolls have more household stuff, lots of flowers and "adult" cats in the same style as the kittens in this series. I mix and match all the time. FWIW, I'm an animal lover, in general, and currently have cats.
Here we are in the replay. I made my 1st Washitapeshop order last month, and I also got the cats & books (I am a cats & books person) and the teal/coral mosaic looking roll! I don't really know where I'll use it, but it's very Ukrainian embroidery type mosaic and I needed 1 more roll for my free gift.
I think like the horizontal orientation of that little journal since you can divide it into columns but if I used one I’d use it as a journal or art notebook so I really wish it had 100 gsm at least….
I'd like to listen to your feedback on the lumos. I tried the smaller nibs and they seems scratchy compared to my usual micron pens. It might improves with time.
that sticker book from journalsay is very Victoria Frances-esque, and I'm here for it! seriously, go and look up her art work if you like the stickers. very gothic vibes.
I like cats because they are less maintenance especially since we only have outside cats. But I don’t really like putting cats in my journal. I like the other cute animals more. Only the cute versions though. Bear, frog, dogs.
I have to ask - what do you store the tapes and the stickers and such in? (I'm reorganizing my stuff so that I can at least try to see it all so I can use it more!)
Right now, several drawers in my "Alex drawers" knock-off 😛 (they're sets of shallow drawers that I store a decent bulk of my stationery in) Needs a better system though 😝
Fair enough - thank you! I just made a pegboard to hold alllll my pens, markers, scissors etc which has freed up some space, and I've got some kind of organization for all of my Christmas/holiday card making stuff...I'm just trying to work out a better system for stickers/specialty paper so I can easily see what I've got instead of going digging and trying to rely on memory 😂😂
"I am not much of a cat person" *gasps* "I am not much of an animal person." *gasps in animal person with severe cat allergy.* But yeah, it's fair xD Not everyone likes animals. Also, definitely would steal the BookKitties tapes. Journalsay does have some really fun things. I keep buying stuff there, telling myself it's the last time and then going back again in a few months to grab another big batch of supplies. Dangerous place.....
I was a cat person (last total was 17), however, over the past 10 years my allergic reaction to them has reached the level of not being able to touch them anymore. So now a dog and other typical home animal person.
Journalsay makes me ao nervous because so much of it is AI art and i dont want to support it, let alone get the product see it up close and have it be glaringly obvious. But man from farther away so many of their products are beautiful, it makes me so sad.
Catching up after a week or so away & I’m chuffed that I already have or bought several of the washi tape shop and journalsay designs before seeing this video. So I feel like @jashiicorrin and I have similar tastes (which is probably why I watch her far more consistently than anyone else I follow!). 💜

Everyone that’s ever lost anyone should watch your grief journal!
OMG! That cat set is so much cuter "in person." When I've seen it on the website, I've not been very impressed, but in motion it's so totally cute!
I will never think of cacti in quite the same way again 🤣🤣🤣
I know that you love Paper mate Inkjoy; and they are good, but there are so much better. Having said that, pen choices are also very personal. Paper Mate inkjoy has great ink but I have small hands so they feel a bit too chunky for me.

I like the extra dots that denote halves and thirds on the bullet journal pages...
I think the style of the PET tape that reminded you of Midsommer is called folk art, but I could be wrong. Definitely my favorite!
It's such a different design from what we're seen from The Washi Tape Shop previously 😄 love it!
Not even starting with the absence of numbered pages and the insane prices of A&O notebooks....i love the leuchtturms as well❤
I never thought about it but when writing a professional report I prefer page numbers in the bottom middle but for journals/books I prefer the page numbers on the outer lower corners
I like the science set from the washi tape shop, but not sure if I want so many science bros stickers lol. Also if my themes were to follow the season of where I live, all my themes would be hot summer beach vibes since I live in a tropical climate 😂
I'm sooooo tempted to get this gorgeous set of science themed washi tapes from Cognitive Surplus but I don't want to out myself like that haha
The PET tape at 52:03 reminds me of the Hungarian folk story tales animation style that you can watch here on RUclips.
FYI & FWIW, WRT Leuchturm, if you replace the eu with oy! and the ch with sh, you’ll be in the right neighborhood of pronunciation.
The bullet journal pocket is probably best compared to something like the Field Notes journal. My Field Note journals are grid not dotted (I don't remember if there is a choice) but the grid lines up across the middle really well. The green and yellow and red tape reminds me of a Scandinavian print beautiful
I save my stickers in trading card small albums or photo albums by theme it works great!

Embossed is raised design - and debossed is stamped down or recessed. The only memory peg I can come up with is debossed and down both start with d.
Debossed is dug in; embossed is elevated.
@@quicksilver_jenna great, thanks!

Thank you for sharing about The Infinitely Refillable Pen by Tom's Studio. I had never heard of it before. Can't wait to try it!
I love the flowery washi tapes, but I also love the cats one.
Oh my! You bought my kryptonite. I've bought every roll I could find from this artist (there are a couple more). Not cheap but, good heavens, they make me smile! I organize my stickers in a snap binder… works great
💜 I love the PET tapes, I've recently discovered them. But the cats washi tapes are a favorite in my house. 😊
I think like the horizontal orientation of that little journal since you can divide it into columns but if I used one I’d use it as a journal or art notebook so I really wish it had 100 gsm at least….
15:51 I would appreciate if the pages could be divided in seven horisontal blocks.
No, I really am picky about dot grid or graph matching up as I prefer stripes/plaids that are pattern matched… take a few more minutes people
Just sent in my order to Journalsay .. I remembered the discount code! $50 later I’m waiting for all my goodies to come!
That looks like folk art designs. Very beautiful
I really dislike washi that has backing but it must keep the stickiness better
I'd like to listen to your feedback on the lumos. I tried the smaller nibs and they seems scratchy compared to my usual micron pens. It might improves with time.
The teal and reddish color pet tspe is like an aztec or mexican art styles
My daughter has a really cute Crawfish pie shirt from New Orleans - of course, it’s boiled crawfish in the shape of Pi
that sticker book from journalsay is very Victoria Frances-esque, and I'm here for it! seriously, go and look up her art work if you like the stickers. very gothic vibes.
Haha yeah my friends had a lot of her posters when we were in high school 😛
@@JashiiCorrin I did my gcse art final based on her works.
I am not a cat person but a smaller dog person but that particular roll of cats is really cute
I just found your channel. I love the kittens set. Cats are my favorite.
It's a really cute set, yeah! 😄 glad to have you with us 💜
Okay, totally a bad influence. Had to get the cat and books one. All I can say is yippee!
16:12 Do not tell me what to do. I can do index and future log if I want or need them.
I like cats because they are less maintenance especially since we only have outside cats. But I don’t really like putting cats in my journal. I like the other cute animals more. Only the cute versions though. Bear, frog, dogs.

Also, definitely would steal the BookKitties tapes.

I have the scientists tape! My daughter is getting ready to start her first year as a science teacher
I really think it would be a great sketch notebook but it would need better paper
Hahaha I love you so much! It's for real my favourite pen! Welcome to the Lumos dark side😈
Rose gold is a classic
I'm a geographer and the map washi is calling me
Oh that’s a perfect fit 😄💜
Tom's pens take fountain inks phenomenally but anything super shimmery is a disaster lol
I would steal the cat. I already purchased 2 of them. Christina
Haha more cute cats for the collection 💪
I keep seeing ads for that lumos pen and it's taking everything in me to not splurge lmao
Cat person and dog person would definitely steal the kitties washi tape
I was a cat person (last total was 17), however, over the past 10 years my allergic reaction to them has reached the level of not being able to touch them anymore. So now a dog and other typical home animal person.
Awww 😭 That's sad! Glad you can still enjoy other animals though 💜
@@JashiiCorrin it is! I was holding out hope for one of the naked cats but then allergy testing and subsequent exposures proved the sad reality 🥲
Just watching after the actual live. The cat washi, you can gift them to Ms Erin.
That pen looks like it would be awkward to hold, at least for me.
Idk if I could ever trust anyone that doesn't like animals, lol
Why don’t they just glue that weird front page down
Jess: I don't like birds...
Also Jess: calls her partner Vogel... (= Dutch for bird)
😂 what does that say about you Jess? 😂
"calls him" ... smh that's his name
@@alliberry it's not actually his name, she mentions it in multiple videos. Also it was a joke.
