You’re down in my backyard in the backyard in the black mountains. 😂 I was just up by thumb butte aka finger mountain this weekend exploring an area. South of 68. Only found a cougar and 8 donkeys that followed me back to my truck for a treat.

A deceased friend that lived in Knab Utah was doing mine exploring, he said the pack rat nests he found had Gold in them. Biggest nugget, 3.64 grams.

These videos are just like being back in high school taking Earth Science classes. Great Geology lessons. After I found out what Geologist actually do mostly instead of just rock hunting and collecting, I changed my career choice, but never thought it could come in handy for Gold Prospecting. Bummer.

Jeff, I picked up a new word from this video, (VUG), I do appreciate your explanations of the types of rock and the combinations. So whenever you use a word that is pretty much exclusive to geology, please explain the definition of that word as well. I picked it up from watching, and seeing where the word Vug was written on the area where the rock has been filled in, I love to learn and I appreciate you teaching. Thank you Jeff .

I used to think you were always in San Bernardino or twenty nine palms area based on the desert in the back , but peach springs bluff , definitely near the Oatman area of Arizona , LOVE watching all your content @JeffWilliams , you’re the one that got me into gold panning and it’s been an exciting ride ever since , hope to go gold panning or mine with you one day .

Oatman outside of Kingman is my bet.
When I was younger we would hunt Mule deer by the Vulture mine by Wickenburg. Yup, there's gold alright.

Hi you two! I just finished watching this video.Ive been watching you for years now! I don't know how you will react to this but here it goes. I dont recall you ever checking the dirt at the bottom of the mines themselves for gold. I wonder why ? Gold being heavy it can collect in the floor into the small cracks and voids just like in a stream bed. I think the miners were too busy getting the best ore out to really check the dusty floor. Im not saying checking the entire floor but the areas of areas where the highest concentration of good ore. If im off my rocker just say so. Id like to know but i dont think i ever will.
From the last scene, I'm guessing these are the hills above Bullhead City between there and Kingman. Or Oatman..

Somebody needs to invent a low cost recreational multi gas meter that could be used on one of them long selfy photo sticks, so the mine explorer does not walk into black damp (below 17% oxygen) or rotting timber and water produced hydrogen and other sulfide gasses that damage the lungs and can cause immediate death. It could double as home and automobile usage for prevention of harmful gas build up. Jeff Williams, you are a highly educated fabricator, with this gas meter being publicly needed, if you designed and built it you would be rewarded by personal financial gain. It would be a win - win situation for everybody. Personally I would immediately buy it, then explore some old mines that have no air circulation without chancing walking into black damp.
Peach Springs and Bullhead city Az has a lot of mines around.

I actually meant to say east of BHC, but I'm sure all the mountain ranges in the area have pretty much the same thing going on. Say, have you ever considered organizing your videos into playlists specific to geology, mine engineering, history, etc.? Gold will continue to be the gold standard, but have you ever put out a video on other minerals of value one might come across while prospecting? I come from southern Arizona, and the place is so intensely mineralized you can find just about anything. One closed claim I came across cited uranium and nobium.@@Askjeffwilliams
