Hello Mr Brad. Thank you for sharing your story. The goodness of your heart is evident on your face. I'm Murat Tamer and I'm writing from İstanbul Turkey. Unfortunately, I have lgmd. Type 2J. It started when I was 27 and I'm 37 now. Until last February, I could walk without support, although I had difficulty. In February, I fell and broke my ankle and kneecap. Since I could not use my legs during the treatment, the progression of the disease accelerated. I can no longer walk without support. I can only walk short distances with support. I also use a wheelchair from time to time. What type of LGMD is yours? Nice to meet you. Ps: apologize for my English.

Very nicely explained brad... Loved your style. I am 31 and possibly have LGMD as i haven't been able to get a good doctor to fully diagnose me. But have enlarged calf muscles and my proximal muscles have lost quite a bit of mass. No running but fortunately can walk for quite some time. That's why i walk for about 5km daily.. Iqill be checking you channel regularly.

Great video on this topic! I also have LGMD - type 2A. I was diagnosed at 15, I’m 21 now. Still walking, but I want to get a cane soon as I think that will help greatly. Love your positivity.
I actually just started a RUclips channel a few days ago. It’s all about art - specifically watercolors! :)

Aw, thank you so much for your kind words, Rebecca!!! One of my coworkers has a lemon tree in her office and I put a picture of it in a presentation I gave to medical students about my experiences. So that metaphor is now stuck in my head!
