Probitas/Veritas alternatives-Are They Better?

- If you don’t know Probitas you should. A lightly aged blend of rums from Foursquare in Barbados, and Hampden in Jamaica, Probitas (or Veritas if you’re outside the States) is the ultimate daiquiri rum, and a respectable sipper as well.
Now, there are other products that appear to occupy the same market space, and today I’m tasting two of them-High Seas from Transcontinental Rum Line, and Myrtle Bank Tiki Blend, which is a collaboration with rum connoisseur Shannon Mustipher.

Love Probitas, I also love Transcontinental, I havent seen the high seas up here, but I will lookout for it. I did get the Homes Cay mixing blend and it makes a pretty interesting (non jamaican) Daiquiri. Cheers!

Pretty sure i introduced you to Probitas after a bartender at RSL in Reno introduced it to me, and I was blown away.

the new Worthy Park Unaged Overproof is really good for Daiquiri's and a decent sipper and super clean and well worth $30
Two more challengers in the lightly aged, but craft cocktail mixer category: Holmes Cay Heritage Blend and Rolling Fork Heart of Gold
Mmmmm.
I think new Hamilton Breezeway blend is a good challenger to Probitas. And it’s quite a bit cheaper. 🍹
