Wow! I am so inspired by every video you guys make. I have been in Alaska for a year now, so this year will be my first attempt at harvesting game. Just watching your videos gives me gear tips, and most importantly, captures the beauty and adventure of the hunt. I hope maybe to meet you both one day if you are ever in the Palmer/Wasilla area, I would love to pick your brains and learn some pointers to use with my 14 yr old son. God bless you both and keep doing what you do so well.😎👍
Man I'd love to hunt some human too someday. Arent you guys satisfied with countless livestocks? Fish? Leave these wild animals whose having a peaceful life. Humans are too greedy fck.
Do you even read what you type? Doesn't matter if it is meat from nature or meat from the store, either way, something must die. Moose are a renewable resource, we hunt them to fill our freezer and they reproduce. Rather then spending $20 for only 1 lb of beef, why not fill the freezer with 700lbs of organic moose meat instead from an animal that lives in our back yard. Not everyone has the conveniences you do where a grocery store is around every corner. Humans are greedy? Humans are trying to survive just like every species on this planet. If your not Human, what are you?
You have guns to hunt? Why not buy that with an equipment that can help you earn a living!? Yes we humans need to survive but do you think its still stone aged? Where humans must learn to hunt animals smh... Again humans are greedy, not all have the convinience like I do? Thats some lame excuse to earn a living and buy some beaf/pork/chicken lol.
A gun is equipment, don't you get it? Is it greed to enjoy the fruits of labor? Is it greed to build a home with my hands for my family? Is it greed to want to plant my own garden? Is it greed to want to go out fishing with my family and fry the daily catch over a fire? Is it greed as a family to go hunting, to pack out several pounds of moose meat on our backs four to six miles so that we may fill our freezers for the winter? Is it greed to go pick berries, and store them in for the winter. Of course we have jobs, but why not use our natural resources. Why do you have such a problem with it? I don't want your life style, so boring and unfulfilling.
EzEz EcEc wild game is tasty and it feeds us all year long! Not everyone has the luxury to buy chicken and beef pumped with hormones in a grocery store. is this public land? my dream hunt has always been a big moose like you guys harvested, would like to start getting some pointers and suggestions on how to make this hunt happen
Thank you for watching! Yes it is on public land. Look at the hunting regulations for Alaska online, Go to Alaska, buy a moose tag at Sportsman Warehouse, and go moose hunt during the seasons provided. Good luck!!!!
It would be an illegal animal. The unit they are hunting in has requirements to make it a legal animal. Either four eye guards on one side or a minimum of 50 inches wide at its widest point.
Alix Armendariz Well you might be lucky if your aloud to keep it. But generally speaking the animal would be confiscated and you might be fined, you could have your rifle taken. possibly all three. At the end of the day, you should know without a doubt that its legal before you shoot. Granted thats not always the case as these things happen fast and its not exact. But ive never heard of that being a means of getting out trouble if the animal was illegal. Those are the penalties for the lower 48. Id imagine its similar or more harsh in Alaska.
Tyler Wiltse I absolutely agree on making 100% sure that it’s a legal animal before you down one. But that’s what I was thinking as far as repercussions if you screw up but didn’t know if it would be more harsh in the state of Alaska.
Alix Armendariz I dont know if it would be. If never hunted there myself. I do know that their game department is more strict in some areas. one of which is meat retrieval. Down in the lower 48 the gutless method is popular, up there youd end with a huge fine. Im not saying they value their game more than the lower states but they definitely have more rules. So im strictly speculating that there penalties could be harsher.
